    Good can be better.

    College Infrastructure

North Bengal medical college has the biggest campus in West Bengal. The infrastructure is way modern , it has smart board in all the lecture theatres with ac in each of them, well equipped laboratories. It has well furnished libraries. The hostels are bit too old and not well maintained. The living spaces are clean but the mess food is not at all hygienic. The campus is filled with greenery and loads of fresh air.

    Academics

I am pursuing MBBS from this college. The quality of teaching is unmatched. The recent curriculum of MBBS is way too modernized and more clinical oriented nowadays. The clinical aspect that the curriculum is covering helps even the first year students to get early clinical exposure.

    Placements

In my field placement is not an issue you have to pass all of the 19 subjects and become a well equipped doctor. The college itself can give a government placement at my own college still it is not guaranteed as such. Well the internship salary in West Bengal is highest in India as of now.

My experience of studying in this college has been wonderful

    College Infrastructure

It is a government medical college and has sufficient infrastructure, facilities and equipment to cater to the needs of students. The academic building has four lecture theaters, a examination hall, a central library and a student canteen. Two new lecture theaters have been built where regular seminars are conducted. All the departments have well-equipped and well maintained laboratories. WiFi is available both in college campus and hostels. Cleanliness is average and food is hygienic.

    Academics

I am pursuing MBBS, to serve the people of my country. The quality of teaching is good but self study is mandatory. The curriculum is updated and professors encourage students to publish research. The college has its own journal. The curriculum is completely clinically oriented which grooms you to become an efficient physician.

    Placements

Students pass out of the college with a MBBS degree which makes them eligible for pursuing a job as a physician. Hence, the placement is good as all of the students end up getting a job. The salary package is diverse as there is no such campus placements making it difficult to maintain a data. The college is supportive in all respects and highly student friendly.

    Value for Money

The tuition fee is Rs.4500 and hostel fee is Rs.18 for each semester and there are a total of 9 semesters. The course is definitely your money's worth. As I believe, a course which makes you learn the art of healing is definitely worth it.

    Campus Life

The college has the largest campus (162 acres) amongst the medical colleges in West Bengal. The campus is beautiful and all the basic amenities are available. The students can engage in various activities like cricket, volleyball, football and badminton. Various programs and competitions are organised during the college fest "Plasma" every year in the month of September. The students are friendly and teachers are very supportive. The campus is safe and can handle emergencies.

    Others

The college is situated 30 minutes(by auto) from the city Siliguri and is well connected. The nearest mall is 15 minutes by auto. There is a market adjacent to the campus which caters to the daily needs to the students.

I really had a Brainstorming analytical experience.

    College Infrastructure

Yes college infrastructure is good. Classrooms are also good. They have the capacity to hold 150 students minimum to a maximum of 400 students . For sports there is a large playground and also a gymnasium but that is not used by 1st and 2nd year students . To promote sports activities students of all year have written letter to the authorities. Laboratories are also good and there is Renovation going on for Biochemistry and physiology labs and their capacities are also getting increased.

    Academics

Yes what we study makes us job ready. The quality of teaching is really good for some teachers and it's really outstanding but a few are average ,only a few. Yes the updated developments are included by our teachers and professors.

    Placements

Placements are good here because there are already few doctors. So there is no issue of placement of a Medical Professional in India atleast. After your course you will get placed in this hospital if u wanted to take house staffship otherwise you may join other hospitals according to your will or u can prepare for your postgraduation courses.

    Value for Money

The cost or fees per year is very minimal. It's just 9000 per year of 750 per month which is even less than the school fees of a nursery or a play house child. And at this much low cost the vast and great knowledge of MEDICAL PROFESSION is given here which is really noble (just take it as a sarcasm, but my friend it's true!)

    Campus Life

Campus life is really good , with no boundations. And the location is really great because this college is at tourist location, Darjeeling , Sikkim, Gangtok, Kurseong, Dow's Hill there are a whole lot of places to go on holiday weekend.

    Others

I would like to say that this is really a Great Medical College to study in and practice basics because the patient load here is tremendous. After most number of patient comes here , as it is the only college here in this entire NORTH BENGAL REGION .From this year 2 MEDICAL COLLEGES have been opened in Cooch Behar and Rampurhat but they are new and it will take atleast 10-15 years to develop their Infrastructure and Departments. So after kolkata colleges this is the best college 2 come,I prefer.
