NOVA College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad Admission Process

NOVA College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, an affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institution offers various engineering and management programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The candidate selection for admission to NOVA College is more merit-based, entailing entrance exams that provide equal opportunity and competitive selection. The college is officially accepting applications for various programs that are entered on the basis of different national or state-level entrance examinations. The B.Tech program has mainly been conducted through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) that every engineering aspirant looks forward to. B.Tech courses demand a minimum of a 10+2; the candidate must have Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in their array of subjects. In contrast, for an MBA, a graduate degree is necessary. Equally, M.Tech courses require a B.Tech or equivalent B.E. in the relevant area. The regular cycle of admissions starts with the declaration of examination dates, followed by the application process, completion of exams, the announcement of results, and counseling; the exact dates can differ with each year. This usually begins in the month's antecedent to the academic session, which initiates in August or September. 

Application Process

The admission process for NOVA College of Engineering and Technology differs in programs:

For B.Tech programs:

  1. Appear for the TS EAMCET examination
  2. Regester on the state-level counseling process after the declaration of results.
  3. Choose NOVA College of Engineering and Technology during counseling and the desired B.Tech course.

For M. Tech programs:

  1. Qualify in the TS PGECET examination.
  2. Participate in the state-level counseling process for M.Tech admissions.
  3. Select NOVA College and desired specialization in M. Tech during counseling.
  4. Complete the admissions process at the college if allotted a seat.

For the MBA program:

  1. Appear for the TSICET examination.
  2. Register for the state-level MBA counseling process.
  3. Choose NOVA College for its MBA program.
  4. If chosen, complete the formalities of admission at the college.

Degree-wise Admissions Process

B.Tech: A lot of disciplines in which NOVA College offers the B.Tech courses are Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Mining Engineering. Admission to these programs is based on TS EAMCET scores. Total intake for all the B.Tech programs is 534 with Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering having the maximum intake of 108.

M.Tech: This program offers M.Tech in Electrical Power Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Embedded Systems, VLSI Desing, Structural Engineering, and Mechanical CAD CAM. The admissions are done on TS PGECET scores. Each program of M.Tech is admitted with a maximum strength of 27, totaling a maximum of 162 M.Tech students.

MBA: An MBA program is there with a heavy intake of 162 students. Admission to the MBA program is formed based on TSICET scores. The admissions followed the program may include various other components, such as group discussions or personal interviews.
