Parjang Mahavidyalaya, Parjang Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Parjang Mahavidyalaya is an affiliated college of the state of Odisha. It runs on a merit basis for admission into undergraduate programs of arts and sciences.  The process of admission to Parjang Mahavidyalaya is designed to be uncomplicated and easy for every deserving candidate. In most cases, the admission cycle for any academic year is initiated by the college according to the schedule of the affiliating university.  The must-haves for the admission into the undergraduate programs include passing the 10+2 examination from a well-established board. 

Application Process

The application process generally follows the following steps:

1. Announcement of Admissions: College announces the date of commencement of this admission process through its official website and local media.

2. Application form: Candidates will get and fill out the admission application. This could be done online on the college website or through the college admission office.

3. Document Submission: Candidates must complete and submit documents and certificates along with the application form; these include:

• 10th mark-sheet
• 12th mark-sheet
• Certificates
• Certificate of good conduct from the last institution attended
• Transfer certificate(If applicable)
• Caste certificate(Reserved category candidates)
• Passport-size photographs lately taken

4. Submission of Application: Completed application forms along with all the required documents must be submitted to the college admission office on or before the declared deadline.

5. Publication of the Merit List: The College prepares and publishes merit lists of the students based on their performance in the qualifying Examination.

6. Counseling and Admission: Shortlisted students are called for counseling sessions, in which they select their preferred course according to their merit position and the availability of seats.

7. Payment of Fees: All candidates selected are required to pay admission fees to confirm the seat.

8. Document verification: A final round of document verification is conducted by the college before confirming the admission.

The Admission Process Degree wise

For BA (Hons), Parjang Mahavidyalaya provides BA (Hons) programs in six disciplines: Anthropology, Economics, History, Odia, Political Science, and Sanskrit. Admission to these programs is granted based on merit in the candidates' 10+2 examinations. The college within different specializations has different capacities for admission; 24 seats each for Anthropology, History, and Odia, while Economics and Political Science respectively have 16 seats each.

B.Sc (Hons): The college offers 5 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology for B.Sc-(Hons). Admission to these programs is also purely merit-based depending upon the performance of the candidates in their 10+2 science subjects. Physics with 32 seats is the highest followed by 24 each for Chemistry, Mathematics, and Botany, with an unspecified intake for Zoology.
