PGP Polytechnic College, Namakkal, is a top technical college in Tamil Nadu providing diploma courses in several branches of engineering. The college has a competitive admission procedure in line with the guidelines provided by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) of Tamil Nadu.
The admissions to PGP Polytechnic College are made strictly on the basis of merit considering the performance of the applicants. Application Process
The application procedure at PGP Polytechnic College, Namakkal, is as follows:
1. Announcement of Applications: The college declares the opening of applications after the announcement of 10th standard results.

Degree wise Admission Process
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The intake for this program is 60 seats. Admission is done through the candidate's performance at the qualifying examination (10th standard). Counseling will take into account the candidate's rank, reservation category, and the available seats.
Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: With 60 seats, the course has the same admission process as Mechanical Engineering. Applicants are ranked and called for counseling on the basis of merit and reservation.
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: The course also has 60 seats. Admission is done in the same way as other diploma courses, with applicants being ranked and chosen on the basis of their marks and relevant reservation rules.
Diploma in Computer Engineering: This program takes in 60 students and admits students on the basis of academic merit of the candidate as well as on the counseling procedure laid down by DOTE.
Diploma in Automobile Engineering: There are 30 seats in this program. The procedure for admission remains the same as for other diploma programs, based on the rank and reservation category of the candidate during counseling.
Diploma in Civil Engineering: With 15 seats, this course has the same application procedure as other diploma courses at PGP Polytechnic College.
