Yes all necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment available. All area is neat and clean. All facilities like wifi, smart boards, library, sports centre are available. Full security with great staff.
I'm studying in BA Programme. Great quality of teaching and great staff also. You will learn alot of things with your course because they have creative teachers. All over the quality of teaching is best.
They don't have any placement facilities . Because it's distance learning course. It is best for who want to graduate with work. If you are employee then it will be best university for you because you can handle study and work together.
Yes it's great value for money. 4000 approx per semester easy to handle.
They don't have campus life because it's distance learning.
Nothing to add
To be honest I have never went to college because college is an open university. So because of this college never had any class so I don’t know much about it Wi-Fi. I guess is there and libraries also provided not in college about sports other colleges have sports facility.
I have done BCom from open University as I never went to college so I don’t know much about the teaching quality of the college whatever I have read the curriculum was good. Not that updated but it was okay.
I don’t know much about the placements but from open university you don’t need to have placements because you must be already doing something like any competitive exams or also they don’t have placements
Yes, it has all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. It has a library and college has a good building. The campus is small but it is sufficient owing the all facilites but it lacks a good canteen.
i am studying mba and marketing from there, yes curriculam is updated and classes room also have digital projector. the faculty members are highly trained in their respective field and they also put in a lot of efforts for the students.
SOL providing the MBA course for the first time, so not going to comment on DU SOL's MBA either good or bad but still after the considering the SOL brand name in placement. I think SOL's MBA will be having a average placement support.
the fee for the college is just around 60K per year which makes it 120K for the whole program. And You are getting the DU MBA degree in just 1.2 lacs with the the great knowledge. It also provides good education at small fee when compared to other B-Schools.
it is completely a -student-run campus, with all activities including internships, projects, assignments and exam too. Class room have digital projector. It also have sports complex and stadium of delhi university.
1. Yes, all necessary infrastructure, Facilities available in college 2. All the facilities like sports, wifi, library, smart board available in the classroom 3. The living space are also clean and the food hygienic are very good
1. I am studying bcom hons right now for doing MBA and the teaching quality is very good in manners to doubt, problem solving, etc 2.There are lots of development in the field like skill development, etc
The quality of placement is to good like a lots of campus company came and hire many students and the placement are confirmed on the name of college because the quality of teaching is very much awesome
Course is very economical in the manners of cost as per cost per year.. I am feeling that the money’s worth is very generous rate, comparatively as compared to others college bcz they charged very much amount
My experience is very good and the best and worth it features. Student engaged in reading aswell as sports and all activities realted to college many much more than we think. It is very general rate and good.
Good academic
Yes the college have all the necessary infrastructure and this university is good for all the facilities acailable like classroom are well cleaned and the sports playground is also there in the college
Academics is good and the quality of teaching is also good and the curriculum is updated well with the semster if any changes occur it upload on the website and the it help the students in the development of the field
The quality of placement is poor in this university this university does not provide any placement but the university is well supportive and helpful but other than placement all staff is good and supportive
As I have done my undergrad from distance mode, so at present I don't have any experience about collage infrastructure. But there is a office from where I got my marksheet and other relevant documents.
So, my overall experience in academics was moderate. They provide all the study material of my course. Study material was well organized and structured with my coursework, I was able to learn a lot from study material.
As I have done this course from distance, so there were not any placements provided by the collage for students like us. But there is a good opportunity for those students who are working and want to continue their education.
Basically, college infrastructure depends on which college you have been allotted; this procedure is done by SOL itself. But mostly, classes are well maintained. SOL students can access the library and also issue books for home study. And in DU, every college has a nice canteen that is clean and hygienic.
If you are pursuing any other professional courses, such as CA or preparing for government jobs, then it will be a great choice in terms of academics. Teachers are also experienced, and SOL books alone are enough to clear SOL semester exams.
I have done BCOM in 2022, and I have seen no one who got placed in SOL placement. They are very poor in terms of placement. They are sleeping on the idea that if they provide even average placements to their students, it will be a great college or great place to study
My course cost me around 6,000 rupees. and yes, value for money as you get the DU badge.
Average campus life, as they provide DU regular college for weekend classes, and there is nothing special about that.
only recommended if you are preparing for government jobs or for professional courses like CFA or CA.
Since it's an open University, there is no separate college of SOL but yes SOL have it's own infrastructure, one is south campus and another is North campus. Infrastructure is below average with not much facilities for students. I haven't tried the food there but cleanliness is again average.
I have studied B.com from SOL and they conduct weekend class, tied up with other colleges as SOL has no independent college of their own. Quality of teaching is also below average and no proper resources provided to us. Curriculum is same as other colleges but with negligible facilities. From knowledge perspective SOL doesn't make us job ready but yes it gives us a degree as licence to get a job with very low package.
Placement done by SOL doesn't offer good salary packages but yes those whose financial condition is not so good and who comes from very low income family background get a chance to be placed in the company and get some penny for their family.
Fee of SOL is slightly expensive. It's not a very pocket friendly. Cost of b.com course is rs.30k approx For 3 years. I don't think it's money worthy as no proper classes have been conducted by SOL, no practical exposure is provided, no extra curriculum activities is conducted by SOL. They only conduct exams with giving proper resources.
College has to 2 campus in Delhi, one in south and 2nd in north. South campus surrounding is not safe as it is in the middle of the market and crowd there is also not good. But yes north campus is much much better than south campus. North campus is very clean and properly guarded with guards and surrounding is also very good of North campus.
It's a good option for only those who are pursuing professional courses parallel to graduation.
My classes are held at Satyakaam Bhawan at the north campus, and the infrastructure is good; it covers all the basics, and the connectivity is also good. Faculties are always ready to help students. The only thing Satyakaam Bhawan is lacking is the CANTEEN.
I'm from the batch of 2024, and our batch is the first batch from SOL, DU, of the MBA, and it seems that the quality of books (particularly the content of the book) and studies is below par with the rest of the colleges at DU offering MBAs. But on the other hand, our faculty is top-notch and always available to help or clarify the concepts. SOL is following the same curriculum as offered in FMS, DU. But I think it will definitely improve its standard in the future.
As I mentioned before, our batch is the first batch of MBAs from SOL, DU. So it's better not to comment on placements. But still, as it is SCHOOL OF OPEN LEARNING, it's placement cell is not so good for other programs. and having just high hopes that placement cell will do the hard work for its student this time.
DU colleges are always the best in terms of value for money. For the 2024 batch, the 2-year fee will be around 1,20,000 lakhs and includes everything. And I think for the full-time employee or even for part-time employees, this is a good deal as he or she will have an MBA degree from the University of Delhi.
So basically, the School of Open Learning (SOL) does not have any sort of campus itself. But as SOL is part of the DU, the SOL arranges the classes on weekends in the other colleges. And on the weekdays, we are having online classes.
The college infrastructure is very impressive and well maintained and hygiene and all the facilities are available like canteen sports playground and laboratories and libraries is also there and the classroom
I have completed BA from their as the academics are very good and the quality of teaching is absolutely good and it is best college for the distance who do not want to the regular class only just go for the exams
Placement is ok overall not so bad some of the students get placed according to their skills and abilities and the placement is good overall and the teachers are also cooperative enhance the students knowledge
Hello,
Recently, UGC has approved a proposal to allow students to pursue two degree programmes at the same time. One of the degrees has to be in the regular mode and the other either in open and distance learning or online. However, in case you're asking if you can get in both the Universities in regular mode then it is not possible.
Also, there are a lot of universities who are not yet accepting the dual degree policy. They may accept it from a year or so as it was released this year. So you should get in contact with the college to know more about it.
I hope this helps,
All the best
yes , you get admission in B com in any university or college
