In-depth curriculum focused on subjects like English, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, and more.
No great infrastructure and only classrooms and classes are conduct only in building. No new infrastructure or buildings. Government college and that makes this university not so extraordinary college only normal.
This university is only known for its simple curriculum and also syllabus is good. Regular classes will be there on weekends and books will be given as per the syllabus and examination will be semester but earlier it was yearly based examinations.
No placements will be provided to the students. It is best known for the open education for the bachelors courses. Students will get regular notifications and now whatsapp group will be formed for proper guidance.
Simple education with minimum fees as this is open university and also provides you distance learning. Books will be provided by the college only. Regional colleges will be allotted to the students for the learning.
Weekend classes on their regional centres alloyed to the students where they will attend classes. No proper campus only different colleges of Delhi university where weekend classes will be conducted for students.
Best open university
In my batch,no classes are provided to student. But now sol has started conducting classes on weekends for new students. But I have no idea about Wi-Fi ability, classrooms or library. Hostel is not for students in school of learning.
I am pursuing bcom from du sol. Teachers are not highly qualified ,they only have average knowledge of their subjects. Curriculum courses almost same as Delhi University regular college curriculum. College exams are bit tricky.
Zero placements are provided in school of open learning. No good recruiting companies come for recruiting students. Even students don't get any internship from any course or in any company. I only know about few seniors who got placed for 4 lpa
Not so goood
Campus Life is average
They don't have proper infrastructure and facilities all the equipment is old. class room don't have good quality of furniture there are very few facilities are available in the collage premises . class room are clean .
i done BA from this collage the quality of teaching is also not up to mark they dont have proper study material and also not updated curriculam . they dont provide any grooming class that make me job ready. they dont make any develpement.
placement process is average due to few company visit campus only a few students have chance to get place also they provide average salary package. placement process is not that easy and suitable also it didnt help students to get placement
this course have almost 10000 per year cost.i dont thik it is value for money due to lack of facilities and the guideness and support of the teachers.
students who are studies from open learning have very few days in which we visit collage so the campus life is not to full of enjoyment.
Yes all the necessary infrastructure is well maintained and suitable for the studies all the required facilities are available like wifi, smart classes and the well equipped laboratories also equipment related to sports also available. Living spaces is also well maintained and clean and also food is hygiene and good quality
I was studies BA from this college all the teachers have good knowledge about the subjects but they have old study material not according to the curriculum. curriculum which is used is not up to date and up to the marks there are very few development in it time to time
There are very few numbers of placement in the college and very few companies visit to hire. There are very few number of students who got placed in any company . Placement process is also not good due to which placement have very few number
I don't think so it is value for money due to its lack in the placement policy also not upto mark teaching. It cost me around 8000 per year.
Campus Life is not so good due to weekend class class only take place on Saturday and Sunday. Teachers are available for classes but not very much support.its safe for study and handle emergency
Du sol provided me maharaja agrasen college, the classrooms was fine, it has lift facility too, one big ground which is well maintained, it has good canteen and the food is average but outside the campus there were many food vendors. Wi-Fi is available inside the campus, all the classrooms has smart boards with projectors.
I did my bachelors in bcom hons from here as I have to work so I decided to do from distance learning and the course had 8 papers in a year. Curriculum is updated and includes good research of subjects, teachers were good and supportive too.
Du sol has it's own placements cells which provided us workshops frequently and teach us about industry knowledge too. But as in campus no companies visited, student has to get by their own hard work and apply for jobs outside only, though teachers are helpful and gives us tips.
Du sol is a distance learning which gives colleges of delhi University. Facilities are quite good, like fully Ventiled classroom with fans, better drinking water cooler, campus is also well maintained in term of design, as I don't thinks there any hotel provided in du sol. Libraries also available for us , Wi-Fi is not available in the campus.
I am doing MA in history because I wanted to learn about history and to become a professor I have to give other competitive exams too. Teachers are supportive and highly knowledgeable, they help students and sometimes they have classes during week days too. Curriculum is upto date.
There are no placements provided by dy sol, but one can learn about many new things from workshops, and I don't think there is any companies comes to visit du sol students, one can opt this course to give other competitive exams too. So overall students needs to search for jobs by their own.
College infrastructure is good but not really accessible to everyone because everything is available online I think sol should provide more option which makes us to go outside but except we barely have to visit college for anything
Not really good we barely get any classes and also sol have the system where they allot a college and it change every semester it's kind of a headache to go to different college every semester which makes it quite hard to attend classes
I think sol doesn't really have this system and they haven't given us any opportunity like that you can't really expect these kind of things from sol but I think the condition is still pretty much same in every college
Fees is actually low and it's actually a worth of money compared to other colleges
We get limited classes in sol so as a student i didn't really get interact with anyone that much which makes campus life quite boring
Overall college infrastructure was good although I haven't spend much time in college as COVID-19 came in our life. So I can't say anything about college infrastructure. Our college was clean and hygiene but there were no smart boards.
Academics also I would say it was good. The teachers teaching there were good enough to teach and there was understanding between students and teacher as I have attended 3-4 classes I guess at that time before covid.
Placements were online through forms and it was easy to get the admission and salary package was ok but it got increased during the period of covid. So I would say that the college should not increase the package.
1 year it costs around 3k and then after COVID-19 came the package got increased around 4500 and I think during this time they should not raise the fees.
I enjoyed there after class got dismissed with friends although I have attended 3-4 classes.
Experience was good as sol conducted online classes properly during covid but during exams in the last semester the exams were held offline and as I got my nearest center mata sundri college. In the center we were not allowed to take our bags inside the campus and ofcourse in bags there are things like money or phone that we carry and students are coming alone from far places so this was the bad experience we used to had.
College Infrastructure was good in my opinion. It has all facilities which students needed. The college space is clean. The college has 2,3 libraries which is easy for students to read in library. The college has good WIFI connection.
I was studying B.A. Programme and the curriculum was good. Some teachers teaches good and some not.The course was good but It didn't make me job ready.I don't know more about it because I have online classes.
I didn't get any placement so I don't know about placements.I have studied in College of open learning that is distance learning so I don't know whether they provide placements or not.If you are doing regular college so maybe you can get placement.
Cost of my course was decent. It didn't cost me much and if someone who can't afford too much to pay one can get admission in Delhi University for their future. The college offers many courses you can choose according to your interest and they are also not too much costly.
It was good.
The college csnteen is also very good providing food the college has good labs , classrooms, wifi a good computer lab a good building etc and many more students are alsoo good by nature or by behaviour
Teachers are relly supportive very knowledgeable and teaching quality is good the course curriculum is relevant too if you study nicely exam are gonna be easy for you this course curriculum is ver good
Many companies visit campus for recuriting students like wipro , deloitte,, zara, e&y lenskart paytm indigo kpmg and many more College has a good placement cell and provides students with various kind of internships
Worth it experience i ever have
The best thing about this course is students can explore new things and gain much experience Events are organised time to time by various societies campus crowd is also great, surroundeing are also peaceful
Hello,
Recently, UGC has approved a proposal to allow students to pursue two degree programmes at the same time. One of the degrees has to be in the regular mode and the other either in open and distance learning or online. However, in case you're asking if you can get in both the Universities in regular mode then it is not possible.
Also, there are a lot of universities who are not yet accepting the dual degree policy. They may accept it from a year or so as it was released this year. So you should get in contact with the college to know more about it.
I hope this helps,
All the best
yes , you get admission in B com in any university or college
