Shri Dhanwantri Ayurvedic Medical College, Mathura Admission Process

Shri Dhanwantri Ayurvedic Medical College Mathura is having a long list of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Ayurvedic studies. The Medical College, approved by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi, has a very stringent admission process for selecting deserving candidates for its various programs. The admission cycle is generally busy in May and June of each year, on the basis of which admission is given for the coming academic year starting in August-September. They provide admission on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the country-level entrance exam and so it could be a fair and competitive admission procedure. The undergraduate course has NEET results for entry, while the postgraduate programs have the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) and NEET PG for entry.

Eligibility varies from course to course. Those applying for the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. For the postgraduate candidates, BAMS qualifications or its equivalents from recognized institutions are required. The significant dates for the admission process are synchronized with the calendar to the national-level entrance examinations. The national level entrance examination, NEET, is usually held in May while AIAPGET is conducted in July. Therefore, candidates are always advised to check the official websites of these concerned exams for the exact date and application forms.

Application Process

Application procedures for Shri Dhanwantri Ayurvedic Medical College shall differ according to program application for as follows:

For BAMS:

  1. Qualify NEET
  2. Register for state-level counseling.
  3. Attend counseling as per the schedule set up by the state government.
  4. Report to college for document verification and fee payment if a seat has been allotted.

For MD Ayurved and MS:

  1. Qualify AIAPGET.
  2. Register at www.saclko.org for state-level counseling.
  3. Attend counseling as per the schedule set up by the state government.
  4. If admitted, complete the admission formalities with the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS: For BAMS admission into the college, merit through NEET examination is on the basis of sanctioning 100 seats. The state government counsels these BAMS admissions.

MD Ayurved: There are seven specializations available in MD Ayurved, each with six seats. These specializations are Ayurved Samhita and Siddhanta, Rachna Sharir, Kriya Sharir, Agad Tantra Vyavhar Ayurved Avom Vidhivadyaka, Swasthvritta, and Kayachikitsa. Admission is based on AIAPGET results, and students are called for counseling at the state level.

MS: Two specializations could be for this MS program: Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga, and Shalya Tantra, with each having six seats. Similarly, admission for MS is based on AIAPGET and state-level counseling like that of MD-Game.

Diploma Programs: Physiotherapy and OT technician diplomas, both allow an intake of 30. Admission for these diplomas may follow a different pattern than that of the degree courses.

Commonly required documents include:

  • NEET/AIAPGET scorecard
  • 10+2 mark sheets and certificates;
  • BAMS degree/diploma and mark sheets (for PG courses);
  • Transfer Certificate;
  • Migration Certificate(if applicable)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable);
  • Identity Proof (Government, Driving license, Passport, etc probably);
  • 02 recent-colour minimalist passport-size photographs.

You haven't mentioned your category, I'll assume you belong to general category and your profile suggest you belong to Uttar Pradesh.

All india ayush cut off marks for BAMS in Gen category was 526 marks in NEET 2020.

Uttar Pradesh state quota cut off for Gen category candidates was 540 marks and 535 marks for OBC category for govt ayurvedic College.

So if you want to get admission in govt ayurvedic College your score must be 510-520+ in general category for neet2021.
