SIT is build around 60 acres of land located in center of city. Lush green campus. All the major branches like CSE, EC, Mech, Civil, Archi have their separate buildings. Add to it the building for auditorium, cafeteria and 2 basketball court. Every department has its own set of seminar halls. They have good facilities like stair cased hall, wide boards, AC, projectors etc. Also 2 gyms 1 each for boys and girls are present inside campus. You will love living space near college.
SIT being autonomous college, has it's own curriculum. I am currently studying ECE. Professors teaching here for ages have good knowledge about the subject but some new ones, fail to introduce basic topics. Few teachers are really good. Curriculum in ECE branch is updated as we study topics like ML, AI and many more. ECE has good lab facilities. These labs have good quality development boards given by some major companies like Wipro and TCS which makes you job ready for companies.
The most important part of the college life, placements are okay for non-CS branches, CS branches placements are really good with companies like Samsung, VMWare, Oracle visiting them. If you’re taking CS-IS, you’ll be happy with the placements as long as you don’t mess up your studies. From what i hear the placements only are getting better for the CS/IS branches. For EC 2016-2020 batch highest package was 30Lakhs and avg was 5L. Placement dept is very supportive and helps students for placement
If you are from Karnataka and you have given KCET and getting to college you have to give approx 80k college fees and if you are from Comedk than you have to pay almost 2 lakhs per year fees. One can surely get a good package and a better designation if one is sincere. Good campus, clean air , away from the messed up and polluted Bangalore city. Some professors actually have core knowledge.
It is near to Bangalore not in Bangalore so you miss the opportunity you could utilize staying at good network place. You don't have exposure to any of the other college curriculum (I mean you see posters but very less interesting students as they are not praised). Cultural festival, ethnic day , branch festivals you can enjoy to the core, again it depends on your involvement and interest.
This college has good reputation, many wont regret studying here. For your rank in COMEDK, If you get good engineering in colleges in Bangalore/Mysore go with it, without compromising your desired course of study.About SIT I can say it is okay college if you are from somewhere else and just want to graduate like a normal student. Hostel facility is not to mark. Lot many complaints about food from students is common everytime.
My college is having a basic and average infrastructure. This college is affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. The college provides all basic facilities like canteen, stationary etc. This is a private college. Grounds are large and sport facility is also good. I think the management is a bit poor. The food provided is hyg
I have chosen this course because computers and its working have always fascinated me since childhood. Our teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgable. most of the faculty are experts in their respective field. Tutorial are also undertaken by teachers which prove to be quite helpful for clearing doubts. The course curriculum is not up to date and needs changes.
The faculty of training and placement department is very supportive and guides us regarding the placement process. The salaries offered were from 3.6 LPA to 16 LPA. Around 60% of the students got placed last year.
This college is the best example for value for money as it is cheap and gives a lot of return for the money we invest. It costs nearly 45k a year and is a great value for money college.
The college campus is good. There is a club ground with all the basic facilities. But still there are a lot of things lacking such as a Students Activity Centre, swimming pool, and also there are lot of forests in the campus. They should be removed and more infrastructure should be made to make the college campus more vibrant.
Hello student, https://dqxeclau.top/colleges/sree-siddaganga-college-of-arts-science-and-commerce-tumkur
For CSE branch management quota fee structure generally depends on the availability of the seats . I can say ,you have to pay 10-15 lakhs management fees and yearly 2.5 lakhs(same for all branches) for four years. So the total course fee you have to pay will be around 20-25 lakhs.
Hostel fee:
Hostel fees for girls will be around 79,500 per year for shared accommodations (2–3 students per room). It includes basic facilities like beds, study tables, fans, and Wi-Fi (though the network quality may vary),meals.
Total fee including with hostel, you have to pay 3,18,000(hostel)+ 20 lakhs for four years.
Hope this helps you!!!
Hello there,
The fees for the management quota in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur, for the 2025-2026 academic session are estimated to be approximately Rs. 1.5 to 2 lakh per year. Over the course of four years, this would amount to around Rs. 6 to 8 lakh. These fees can vary based on specific conditions and any additional charges.
Regarding hostel facilities, the hostel fees for girls are about Rs. 80,000 per year. This includes basic amenities such as a bed, study table, chair, and common Wi-Fi (though the quality might not be ideal). Meals are generally rated as decent, with a variety of options available.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
Hello Aspirant,
With this rank it will be little difficult for you to get CSE in SIT Tumkur. As per previous year's information cutoff for CSE goes upto 20000 for SC category. Getting a seat will depend on various factors such as number of students applied for the same branch, performance of the students, category of the students, home state etc.
