Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology (SINCET), Nagapattinam is an AICTE approved self-financing institute which offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of engineering and technology (BE / B.Tech) and ME respectively.

It is a very simple process of admission. For the undergraduate courses, the aspirants have to appear in the CEETA-PG (Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission) for admission. Meanwhile, TANCET is the obligatory entrance examination for postgraduate courses in Tamil Nadu.

Usually, admissions start at a few months towards the incoming academic sessions. Thus, candidates should keep a regular check on the site regarding the latest updates on the admission notifications and deadlines.

Fundamental Eligibility:

• Undergraduate: 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

• Postgraduate: Bachelor of Arts, Engineering, or Technology.

Application Process:

1. Entrance Examination: Attend the CEETA-PG (for UG) or TANCET (for PG).

2. Application Form: Fill out the online or admission office form after results.

3. Document Submission: Includes:

   • 10th and 12th grade mark sheets

   • Entrance exam qualifier card

   • Transfer certificate

   • Community certificate: Applicable

   • Passport-size photographs

4. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates shall be called upon to participate in the counseling process to select courses on the basis of the rank obtained and seats available.

5. Payment of Fees: The admission fees shall be paid to the student at the same time as the seat allotment.

6. Registration: The admission process is completed with the submission of incomplete documents and attendance at orientation.

Degree-wise Admission Process

• B.Tech / BE: This is in other courses including B.E in Mechanical Engineering, B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E in Computer Science and Engineering, B.E in Agricultural Engineering, B.E in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and B.E in Information Technology which have 60 seats each. All admissions to the institutions are based on CEETA scores.

• ME: There are various disciplines offering opportunity for admissions under this course which include: Applied Electronics, CAD CAM, Computer Science and Engineering and Power Systems. The intake per course is 24 students. Selection into the course is made based on the TANCET examination and counseling.
