Smt MM Shah Mahila Arts College, Kadi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has more than 8000 books in the library. More than fifty journals and magazines, including national journals and magazines, are subscribed regularly. Teachers and students acquire an awareness of educational, social, political, and economic matters through these journals and magazines. In addition, eight newspapers in Gujarati and English are available in the library.

The College offers Psychology as the main subject, so the students of TYBA perform ten experiments as part of the syllabus. The equipment is used for experiments in learning, perception, illusion, memory, reaction time, attention fluctuation, etc. Photographs of eminent Psychologists are fixed to the wall of the laboratory so the students can familiarize themselves with their lives and works.

The College has Curricular and Co-curricular activities are, which are for the all-around development of students apart from classroom teaching. Hidden power comes out in students through cultural programs, seminars, quizzes, debates, and camps. Shree Shankarlal Amthalal Desai Auditorium is the place where energy blossoms in students. The welcome ceremony for first-year students and the farewell program for last year's students are conducted here. Four hundred can be accommodated in this 43 x 44 sq ft auditorium.

The College has. Under the two universal truths ‘Health is wealth’ and ‘Prevention is better than cure,’ this institute works to awaken the students to perfect health. Medical checking is compulsory for students getting admission to FYBA. Thalassemia testing is also done by the Indian Red Cross Society. Secondly, seminars and exhibitions on AIDS awareness are held at this college.

The College has Computer applications that are essential in the age of information and technology. Kumari Monikaben A. Patel Computer Center was set up in the college to impart knowledge of computer applications over and above liberal education. The College has thirty computers in this center with a printer, a scanner, and an LCD for PowerPoint presentation. The study center of Dr. Babasahed Ambedkar Open University runs CCC, CIC, and CPCS computer courses for short terms. A three-month computer course is also designed and offered by the college. By taking this course, the student can gain basic knowledge of computer applications. Moreover, the computer lab possesses broadband connectivity and LAN.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a vast playground for athletic games. On this ground, a 200-meter track is designed. Moreover, the facilities for the practice of hockey, softball, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, cricket, and kho-kho exist.

The class has a room as the first necessity in the teaching – learning process. Interaction takes place between the teacher and students in classrooms. There are ten spacious and well ventilated class rooms in the college. Classroom teaching requirements are fully met, i.e., platforms, tables, benches, fans, tube lights, and glass blackboards. The benefit of the modern teaching method is given to students with the help of the Over-Head Projector and PowerPoint presentation by the LCD projector.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The Network Resource Center was set up from the grant of Rs. 1.45 lac to this college by the UGC during the 10^th plan. Software and Hardware are brought for computer education from this grant. BSNL broadband connection in the Network  Resource Center, as the staff and students can collect worldwide information.
