Sparsh Mahavidyalaya, Amethi Admission Process

Sparsh Mahavidyalaya, Amethi, is an affiliated college established under the vertically recognized by the NCTE (National Council of Teacher Education). The institute thus offers a wide variety of academic programs in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels covering many disciplines. The selection of students is purely on a merit basis, as deserved by the applicants, with the admission process aligned with the directives of the state and that of the affiliated universities' governmental policies.

For the most part, the academic year begins in July-August, and preceding that time, the admission process initiates. The college receives applications for several programs—D.El.Ed, BA, B.Ed, and also a range of MA courses for admittance. On the other hand, the admission procedures and criteria could vary with different programs.

Successful completion of 10+2 from a recognized board is the basic eligibility criterion for most of the programs. However, any postgraduate courses require a completed undergraduate degree in that related discipline from a recognized university. The college observes and applies the qualifying examination and entrance examination scores as decided by the state and the university.

Application Process

  1. Announcement of Admissions:
    Through media channels, including the official website of the college, it announces admission announcements.

  2. Application Form:
    A candidate can take the application form from the admission office either online or offline, then fill it out.

  3. Document Submission:
    The candidate will submit the necessary documents with the application form, which normally includes:

    • Passport size photographs

    • Mark sheets of qualifying exams (10th, 12th, and graduation for PG courses)

    • Transfer certificate by the last attended institution

    • Character certificate

    • Caste certificate (if applicable)

    • Any and all other documents specified by the college

  4. Entrance Examination:
    The candidates for D.El.Ed and B.Ed programs may be required to take an entrance examination according to the state government's policies.

  5. Preparation of Merit List:
    The college will prepare the merit list based on the performances of candidates in qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations.

  6. Counseling and Admission:
    The candidate's name listed for admission will then be invited to counseling to undergo document verification and be admitted upon paying the fees.

  7. Commencement of Classes:
    The students who were admitted to the college then commence their academic session according to the college calendar.

Degree wise Admission Process

  • D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
    D.El.Ed has 50 seats. Admissions to the program are done on merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination in accordance with the policy of the State Government.

  • BA (Bachelor of Arts):
    The BA program is for the undergraduate education. Admission is likely based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination (10+2) and any further criteria set by the College or affiliated university.

  • B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
    Admission for B.Ed is done as per the regulations laid down by the Government of the State and University. This means candidates are chosen on their merit in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. There may be other criteria for selection set by the authorities.

  • MA Programs:
    These comprise Hindi, Education, Ancient Indian History & Archaeology, Home Science. The selection would be in accordance with the performance of the candidate in the undergraduate program and any other criterion determined by the college or university.
