SPJIMR’s Fellow Programme in Management programme is designed to develop high-calibre researchers and faculty in various management disciplines. It focuses on relevant and contextual research to address current business issues. It is designed for people who want to solve real-world problems through research and have the desire to teach. The programme envisages itself developing independent top-quality management thinkers, thought leaders and consultants making contributions to the domain of management. The rigorous methodology and practice-oriented research are the programme’s key differentiators. FPM fellows also benefit from SPJIMR’s supportive research environment and extensive industry network.

FPM (Full Time) -

SPJIMR’s Fellow Programme in Management full-time is a residential programme. It is a fully-funded programme. Every scholar admitted to the programme receives scholarship in form of monthly stipend for entire programme duration of 4 years. In addition to the monthly stipend, FPM offers a variety of appropriate grants to support scholars in their research journey.

FPM (Part Time) -

The Fellow Programme in Management part-time is a non-residential programme. The programme has been designed to cater to the scholarly needs of working professionals, they may continue their career journey while pursuing the programme. FPM part-time is specially for senior professionals who wish to deepen their understanding of research methods and apply them to address the modern challenges of today’s dynamic business environment.

Eligibility Criteria

First class in Master’s degree or an integrated Master’s degree in any discipline, or professional qualifications, such as CA, ICWA, or CS, with a minimum of 60% marks.
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks.
Higher secondary schooling with a minimum of 50% marks.
Candidates with no work experience are also eligible to apply as long as they have the motivation and background to pursue a rigorous research programme.
Candidates with significant work experience (over ten years) are also welcome as long as they have the motivation and background to pursue a rigorous research programme.

Admission Details

The FPM selection process at SPJIMR encourages bright aspirants with the right fit and motivation to join the programme.

The process begins with reviewing the application forms and Research Proposal.
The shortlisting panel considers academic qualifications, work experience, profile, motivation, recommendations and fit with the institute’s research profile and its mission.
The shortlisted applicants go through a two-stage interview process – Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and Personal Interviews.
The Research Aptitude Test consists of two parts – General Aptitude and Research Aptitude.
Our distinguished panel conducts the Personal Interviews.
Provisional admission letters are issued to the selected candidates.
