PUMBA Pune Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

PUMBA is a reputed management school under the Department of Management Sciences, Savitribai Phule Pune University (PU), Pune. Courses offered range from various management programs and the selection to these courses has been laid down in the manner best suited to extract the best possible candidates for the courses. The institute takes CAT, CMAT, MAH MBA CET, and ATMA into consideration to admit students into the MBA programs.

Generally, announcements in entrance exam dates mark the beginning of a new admission cycle for MBA programs. The entrance examinations take place during the following schedule across the academic year: CAT usually takes place in November-December; CMAT takes place in January; MAH MBA CET takes place in March-April; and ATMA takes place throughout the year as there are different sessions. Aspirants should be ready to appear for these entrance exams in the academic year preceding admission.

Most of the courses in PUMBA require undergraduates to have completed a recognized bachelor's degree before applying. At least 50% marks (45% for a reserved category) are usually required in qualifying examination for MBA programs, with some courses having additional requirements.

Application Process

Specifying the application procedure for PUMBA, the following are included:

For MBA and MBA Pharma Biotechnology:

1. Clear the entrance examination CAT/CMAT/MAH MBA CET/ATMA.
2. Register on PUMBA's website and fill in the application form.
3. Pay the application fee.
4. Upload required documents including the entrance exam score card, degree certificates, and mark sheets.
5. For reserved category candidates, submit caste validity certificate and non-creamy layer certificate wherever applicable.
6. Shortlisted candidates may be called for further rounds of selection.

For Executive MBA:

1. Register for PUMBA's entrance test.
2. Fill in the application form along with paying the application fees.
3. Appear for the entrance test.
4. Further rounds may be conducted for shortlisted students.

For BBA Hospitality and Facilities Management:

1. Register for the entrance exam by PUMBA.
2. Fill out the application form and submit all documents.
3. Take the entrance exam. Interested applicants are then granted admission based on their performance in the entrance exam.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBA: Admission into the MBA program at PUMBA is purely based on the scores obtained in the CAT, CMAT, or MAH MBA CET. Candidates from the state of Maharashtra would consider the scores obtained in MH-CET, while the out-of-Maharashtra students can apply for admission through CMAT/CAT/MH-CET. Thus, the selection rounds may comprise additional group discussions and personal interviews.

MBA Pharma Biotechnology: This specialized programme requires an ATMA test score that students should submit along with their application form and fees to PUMBA for considerations to merit listing. This programme has an intake of 60-sanctioned seats.

Executive MBA: Admission involves an entrance test conducted by PUMBA for entry to this program. This test carries 200 marks, comprising different multiple-choice questions on arithmetical ability, data interpretation, verbal & non-verbal reasoning, general mental capabilities, and deduction. A total of 60 seats are available within this course, and half is reserved for candidates from Maharashtra as per statutory reservations.

BBA Hospitality and Facilities Management: Admission will be strictly based on the score secured by the candidates in the entrance test conducted by the institute.

Ph.D. in Management: Normally, Ph.D. admissions start with a separate application involving entrance tests and interviews conducted by the university.
