Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology, Vellore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Gents hostel spread over a total area of sq. ft. It has rooms that can accommodate 2 students per room. The rooms are furnished with cots, cupboards, and other furniture. It has a computer center with 20 computers and 1 server. Internet facility is also available. The gymnasium is also part of the hostel amenities for those students interested in staying fit; it has facilities for weightlifting, powerlifting, and a hydraulic station. The hostels are so well equipped that they also provide a Yoga center, allowing students to practice yoga asanas and breathing exercises.

The college has a Lady's hostel spread over a total area of sq ft, having 96 rooms which can accommodate 3 persons per room. The lady's hostel has a separate dining hall. It has an STD/ISD facility, a specially equipped fitness center, and a computer center that has 30 computers and 1 server with the internet. Game courts like basketball, kho-kho, throwball, Tennicoit, Shuttle, and Kabaddi are also available.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College assures peaceful and enriching hours in the library. One of the major highlights of the Sri Nandhanam College of Engineering and Technology is its 9060 sq m. air-conditioned central library that has a seating capacity of 96 and also has a Centralized Digital Library for UG and PG Students, which consists of a seating capacity of more the 150. It has about 24,038 volumes and 9492 titles of books that are valued at around Rs 1.5 crore. In addition to this, the library also subscribes to 285 International and National journals and periodicals. In this fully automated library, students and staff members can search for books by author, title, or subject heading and their availability. Each student is given 4 library books at a time, and they have allocated library hours/week.

The college students realize that 'ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES THE DULLEST OF ENGINEERS'. That's why students lay a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and Sports. At college, we have one of the most comprehensive sports facilities. Our students are encouraged to actively take part in all sporting activities. Our students have earned the college several laurels and accolades in national and state-level sports competitions. Students of this college have achieved remarkable feats as Winners and Runners-up, ranging from the Inter-collegiate to University level in games and athletic events, and have retained the championship in the University Division. Every year, we celebrate the “College Day” function to honor the best sports students. Many of the students have won medals and cash prizes in Throw Ball, volleyball, Table Tennis, Chess, Boxing, Swimming, Judo, Kabaddi, and Football.

The College campus has one modern Center of Technical Support(CTS) equipped with high-performance servers and workstations. A wealth of software and several operating system platforms provide extensive opportunities and capabilities for advancing computer skills and allow the use of modern teaching methods like computer simulation and computer-based instruction. SNMA is keenly aware of the importance of computers in all professions and will ensure that these facilities keep evolving to keep pace with the needs of students to develop a high degree of proficiency in computers related to their discipline. A dedicated broadband connection from BSNL supports Internet connectivity to the campus. The fully switched network, plus Wi-Fi capability in the residential hostels, provides residents with 24x7 Internet access from almost anywhere on campus.

The College Inside the sprawling campus of the College, there is One Canteen that functions well to serve the students and staff members.

The College firmly believes in providing its students’ exposure to national and international knowledge experts, through regular national and international conferences/symposia and workshops hosted on campus. It is with this view that a wide choice of modern conference facilities has been meticulously planned and incorporated into the campus. The Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium is provided with a centralized A/C with an effective audio and lighting system. It is newly constructed, furnished with a digital surround system, and is fully air-conditioned. It is a highly sophisticated hall, which can hold up to 1400 students. This auditorium adds feathers to our cap. This auditorium is used for various events and programs. It is located in the college's Ground Floor, Main Block. Mother Theresa Conference Hall and Rabindranath Tagore Seminar Hall: Fully air-conditioned conference rooms are available. Each department is provided with a seminar hall for conducting recruitment programs, interviews, personality development seminars, Association Meetings, etc. All the halls are provided with the latest Multimedia Projectors with a seating capacity of 75 students.

The College management operates a fleet of Buses, numbering more than 50 for easy mobility of students from different parts of the districts, which include Tirupattur, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Singarapettai, Chengam, Alangayam, Bargur, Krishnagiri, Pochampalli, Uthangarai, and Nattrampalli.
