The Sri Sai Institute of Ayurvedic Research and Medicine, Bhopal, is one of the premier institutions in the domain of Ayurvedic education and research. There exists an official admission procedure adopted by the institute to pick the eligible candidates for its courses offered in Ayurveda. BAMS: This is the primary undergraduate program offered by Ayurvedic institutes. The admission for BAMS at SSIARM is through entrance test marks along with 10+2 marks. On an average, the duration of the course takes up 5.5 years while incorporating one-year compulsory internship in the hospitals. Study must have been done with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 10+2 and the percentage marks will be as per the institute.
MD/MS Ayurveda: To seek admission for a postgraduate Ayurveda program, for example, the degree of MD or MS in some specializations related to Ayurveda, candidates must be graduates from BAMS (Bachaelor of Ayurvedic and Medicinal Sciences). The general trend of getting admissions in Ayurveda is mainly based on marks obtained by a candidate in AIAPGET postgraduate entrance examination and subsequent counseling. Depending upon the approved courses, specializations may vary from SSIARM.
