At the time of my course, the college had a wonderful library with a rich range of books that we could borrow for weeks. The labs were good- however the tools and equipment were not very maintained, and had a lot of errors that were therefore visible in the experiment results.
I would say I did not particularly enjoy the lectures by the professors as I did not feel they used very immersive or exciting pedagogy methods. The curriculum however was very detailed. It does not make you job-ready as the curriculum is focused on research.
For Physics hons, I don't think any placement assistance was directly provided. None of the batchmates joined jobs after this course as this was anyways a research heavy course intended to result in a Masters.
Part of Delhi University, per year fees was around 16k at that time for Physics Hons, which was very affordable. The fee was even lower for EWS quota. Getting a Delhi University degree from a prestigious college for this fee was well worth it.
The campus is lively and beautiful with various fests and activities happening all the time. The location is very student friendly with a lot of PGs and Cafes nearby in Satya Niketan.
I had a very small time in this college due to Covid but it was an enjoyable experience.
Classes are pretty well but in this bad summer days it's unbearable to sit in the class..as we see in many Colleges they have ACs but in our there are no ACs except labs which in unusual and also construction takes years to complete as we see our auditorium. Sports are quite well and we have big grounds for sports which is perfect for sportsperson. Many teachers are best but sometimes it feels like some teachers don't deserve to be here in such prestigious college as they don't know how to teach. And there is attendance issues but at end we get some exemption in attendance. There's no shortage of extra curricular activities. And we can see there are favouritism going on in different societies of our college.
Many teachers are best but sometimes it feels like some teachers don't deserve to be here, they don't how to teach Overall study is goodIn every reputed institution, teachers play the most important role in shaping students’ learning experiences and overall development. A college may have excellent infrastructure, renowned alumni, and a strong reputation, but if the teaching quality is poor, the essence of education is lost. Unfortunately, in many cases, the quality of teaching does not match the prestige of the institution. Some teachers, despite being part of a respected college, fail to meet the standards expected from them. Teaching is not just about completing the syllabus or dictating notes. It is about engaging students, breaking down complex concepts into simpler ones, and making learning an enjoyable and meaningful process. However, many teachers lack these skills. They are unable to explain concepts clearly, often leaving students confused or dependent on self-study and external resources. This raises a valid question: if students are forced to learn entirely on their own, what purpose does the classroom really serve?
We get good placements here from very prestigious companies One of the strongest indicators of a college’s success is the quality of placements it provides to its students. Good placements not only reflect the institution’s reputation in the industry but also open the gateway for students to build rewarding careers. A college that consistently ensures strong placements demonstrates its ability to connect academic learning with real-world opportunities. For students, placements are more than just securing a job—they are about stepping into the professional world with confidence. A well-structured placement cell, strong corporate ties, and regular training programs can significantly enhance students’ chances of landing roles in reputed companies. When students receive offers from leading firms, it validates the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and skill development.

Hello,
Yes, with a rank of 12004 in AP EAPCET and BC-D category, you have a good chance of getting a seat in B.Pharmacy at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
The closing rank for BC-D category in B.Pharmacy at SVU is usually much higher than your rank, so your chances are strong. You can expect a seat in the first or second round of counselling.
Hope it helps !
With a 29,000 rank in AP EAMCET under BC-B category, getting into CSE or ECE at Sri Venkateswara University (SVUCE) is unlikely, as those branches typically require much better ranks.
However, you have a strong chance for Mechanical Engineering there. In past years, the BC-B closing rank for Mechanical at SVUCE was around 83,000. You may also have a chance for EEE or Civil engineering.
