Kavery College of Education, Mecheri as a well-known teacher's training institution; it is located in the heart of Salem city in Tamil Nadu, actually lends itself to the making of quality teachers and educational leaders through a well-laid, transparent admission, and evaluation system. A candidate's selection depends only on merit, which is based on their marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. 

The college carries out the admissions in conformity with the norms and guidelines laid down by the state government and as per the advice of the affiliated university. The institution offers two-year full-time courses for education leading to degrees of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.). The two-year program is geared to prepare students with both knowledge and practical skills for a successful teaching career.

Application Process

Kavery College of Education, Mecheri, is having a general application process for both B. Ed. and M. Ed. programs.

1. Advertisement for Admission: Admission announcement is carried out through college media, that is, through the official website.

2. Application Form: Candidates must obtain and fill out an application form. This may be available online or at the college campus.

3. Document Submission: Upon completion of the application form, the applicant should submit it to the college with all required documents, which typically include:

• Marks of qualifying examinations
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam score card (if applicable)

4. Entrance Examination: Candidates would be allowed to appear for entrance examination depending on the state government's and university's policies.

5. Merit List Preparation: Merit list will be prepared as per the performance of candidates in qualifying and/or entrance examination as per prescribed rules.

6. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Candidates shortlisted will be invited for counseling and thereafter allotment of seats will be done based on merit and availability.

7. Fees Deposit: Selected candidates will have to pay their admission fees, as prescribed, to confirm their admission.

8. Document Verification: This will be done for original documents of admitted candidates at the college.

B.Ed.: The B.Ed. course at The Kavery College of Education has an intake approved at 100. Admission to this course is on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection policy is governed by the state government and UT administration, coupled with the notifications of the affiliated university. To be eligible, the candidate will require an undergraduate degree.

M.Ed.: The 50 seats of the M.Ed. program have the same selection mechanism followed by B.Ed. programs. Academic performance in a qualifying examination and/or entrance examination is the basis for selection. The college pays extra attention to the merit list prepared through this examination so that the right candidate is chosen for admission. Final eligibility requires holding a B.Ed. degree.
