NIE Mysore All Questions

Hello aspirant,

Cutoff for every college which considers kcet exam is announced after the allotments. We can only have mere pridictions based on last year's cutoff.  During 2018 round 1 , cutoff of cse branch in NIE  (general merit ) was 2269, whereas for reservation category it goes up to 22k. 

Hey Rishab,

According to there previous year cut off the second round cutoff rank for CSE was

• General         2269
• General Merit Hyderabad 3630
• Kannada 15890
• SC 22311
• SC Rural 37758
• SC Rural Hyderabad 51433

So these were the cutoffs for CSE of NIE. But in 2nd merit, it's little hard to convert this college.

In 2016, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 4,573 (GENERAL)

Closing Rank- 14,280 (HYDERABAD-KARNATAKA)

In 2017, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 7,110 (GENERAL)

Closing Rank- 14,424 (Hyderabad-Karnataka)

In 2018, after the last round-

Closing Rank- 5,673 (GENERAL)

Closing Rank- 19,527 (Hyderabad-Karnataka)

Congatulations on managing to score a decent rank.The cutoffs obviously vary every year so I would advise you to keep more options in safety.Please ask yourself,what work will you love doing? The Civil stuff or those playing with websites,programming and IoT.Please do not merely choose a college based on placements. You would have to compromise as you may not get top colleges but take up your preferred branch only.I would still attach a link for you below do that you can get to know where you have high,low or medium chances i.e in which colleges and branch.The link will give you details of every college.So please go to that link,you can add your own preferences like your category and compare different colleges before taking one.

Cse is the most happening branch and SIT, NIE and JSS are the top colleges in Karnataka, so it is almost same. But counting on all the factors, cse is good academically in NIE and has better packages in JSS  ( though it has placements in NIE, it's believed to be quite less compared to JSS and JSS is good in academics but not accepted to be as better as NIE) . Cse is good academically and has good placements in SIT but not as much as NIE or JSS. So if you opt for high packages then go for cse in JSS and if you want strong basics with good placements then go for cse in NIE. Hold on to SIT as your third option as it belongs to one of the best colleges in Karnataka. Good luck!

According to your rank and analyzing the previous year trends.

If you have any other quota , Like 3a,3b or something other than that , than you have some chances of getting a seat in JCE or else that`s kind of hard .

But with General rank of yours, you can get a seat in The National Institute of Engineering Mysore.
