No data provided by the college for admission procedure for the latest year
The University School of Chemical Technology (USCT), New Delhi, one of the colleges under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, has a very intensive and competitive admission scheme to select the best candidates for its chemical engineering programmes. Upholding its established credence, USCT has matured into one of the top chemical engineering institutes in India. The aim of the USCT admission process is to take in students with promise and proven academic capabilities towards the pursuit of chemical and biochemical engineering.
Generally, admission to USCT is based on the qualifying exam and entrance tests. In general terms, candidates for the undergraduate programme are expected to have completed higher secondary education in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For the postgraduate candidates generally have to be in possession of a bachelor's degree in relevant branches of engineering or technology. The USCT takes into consideration different aspects for admission, including academic performance in the preceding qualifying examination and scores of relevant entrance tests.
Application Process
The application process for USCT programs is not openly specified but usually would be one of a general procedure followed for engineering institutions:
1. Candidates would have to qualify in the corresponding entrance examination, i.e., JEE for undergraduate programs or GATE for postgraduate programs.
2. Eligible candidates will have to fill out an application form usually available on the official USCT or Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University website.
3. All relevant documents need to be submitted by the applicants. Said documents typically include:
4. The application fee payment will finalize the submission process.
5. Shortlisted candidates may be called for further rounds of selection including interviews or additional tests, if any for postgraduate and doctoral programs.
6. The final selection is usually a combination of entrance examination scores, marks in qualifying examinations, and performance in any additional selection rounds.
7. The selected candidates must complete their admission formalities, including documentation verification and fee payment, within the stipulated time.
Degree wise admission process
B.Tech M.Tech Chemical Engineering: USCT offers a dual program for Chemical Engineering, having 52 seats. The admission is likely to be based on 10+2 examination and engineering entrance-Examination marks.
M.Tech Chemical Engineering: Admission is based on a Bachelor's degree examination and the score of a relevant postgraduate entrance test, such as GATE, for which 30 students are admitted to this program.
B.Tech M.Tech Biochemical Engineering Dual Degree: This dual Biochemical Engineering degree program, having 30 seats, also contravenes the standards of admission on the basis of 10+2 together with consideration of entrance examination marks.
Ph.D. Chemical Engineering: This programmes are offered at USCT with no specific number of seats. An admission into the Ph.D. programs, however, usually requires a completely grueling selection process that entails rigorous mandated procedures like entrance examinations and interviews.
B.Tech Energy Engineering: A fresh programme that has just begun at USCT. The seats available and the admission procedure have not been decided but are likely to follow the same pattern as all the other B.Tech programs run by The USCT.
The course I studied from there was B. Tech in Biochemical Engineering as I developed my interest in biochemistry and its research and development. The quality of teaching was applaudable at the college which made me job ready with an updated curriculum and syllabus.
We can say all things is good but syllabus is something different first this college teach theory and next semester you will take lab of this subject but lab condition is not good but some.teacher is so good.
I am continuing with Biochemical technology. The teachers are good here and their area of knowledge is vast. Hence over all they are good. Well the curriculum that we follow is well structured we are given every subject that will be important here and the choice electives is also pretty good.
