Hi,
In my opinion you should go for VIT Vellore.
According to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India :-
VIT is ranked at 13, while VJTI is ranked at 84.
Following are parameters and scores given by NIRF:
Hence for teaching resources and services, VIT is better. For Research scope again VIT is better. For placements VJTI is bit better than VIT. Overall aggregate score given by NIRF to VIT: 74.40 and VJTI: 52.71.
Overall VIT is better, but then you can choose which college you want to go to on the basis of the parameters which matter to you the most.
Hope this helps.
All the best.
Hi,
There are no marks required to get admission in diploma courses in VJTI college. You can get admission after class 10th also. And then you can get lateral entry in various other Engineering courses in different branches.
If you are seeking admission to Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, it is quite difficult to predict the cut off for admission in 2023 as the cut off changes every year depending on total number of candidates applied, percentage of marks in qualifying examination, total number of seats available etc. In 2021 the cut off was as follows to get admission to Mechanical Engineering in Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute(VJTI), Matunga, Mumbai
Home District Non-Technical Seats Allotted to Home District Candidates
Home District Technical Seats Allotted to Home District Technical Candidates

Hi Aspirant,
Admission process for Diploma program in VJIT (Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute) is done based on Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra. There is no Management quota available for Diploma Program. Admissions are done only based on CAP Merit Scores in 10th standard. Diploma Program time duration is for 3 years (Full time) and Total fees per year is 35,000.
The eligibility criteria for CAP is 10th/SSC Examination with 35% aggregate marks minimum from recognized board of Maharashtra. To get seats in preferred programs such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, you should score atleast 85 - 90%. If you get low cut off percentage then you can opt for Chemical and Textile Engineering too. Hope this information helps you. All the best for admission .
Thanks & Good luck!..
Dear aspirant hope you are doing well......
Around 50% of backward-class seats are reserved in the state of Maharashtra. The 200 MHT CET Seats Reservation will be based on Maharashtra's diverse backward class. OBC (Other Backward Class) has 19 per cent more seat reservations than Maharashtra 's Schedule Tribe and Scheduled Caste
Hope it's helpful for you..
Thank you
Hi aspirant,
Yes you can surely get admission at VJTI Mumbai through MHT CET examination. Students from others tickets other than Maharashtra are also eligible for admission at the institute but 8 5 % of seats are reserved for the students of Maharashtra and only 15% are open for other states. In in addition to this candidates must have 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which is lowered to 45 percentage for reserved categories.
hope it helps!
Hi aspirant,
All the colleges mentioned by you are the top notch ones which offer admissions based upon MHT CET scores. Though the seat allotment is done on merit basis based upon scores obtained in the entrance examination but to eligible for admission candidates must have passed the HSC/equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects – Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical/ Vocational subjects with a minimum aggregate of 45 percentage for general students and 40 percentage for reserved category students.
In case you are not able to scold the minimum required percentage your admission would be cancelled at the time of document verification.
Hope it helps!
Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that you can get admission in Engineering courses after class 10th with many diploma courses available in the college.

You have not mentioned the name of the course about which you are asking this question. However for veermata jijabai institute Polytechnic courses you need to clear only 10th level board examination. The final admission to the polytechnic course is offered on the basis of merit scores achieved the students in the 10th board. The merit cut-off list are not available for 2023 at the present time.
Other than this, For B.Tech. You are required to secure at least 50% marks in the aggregate of 10 + 2 class level board examination. Other than that you must have completed your 10 + 2 class level board examination from a recognised board. After satisfying this criteria of eligibility, you will be required to appear in the Maharashtra common entrance test and qualify the examination for admission in veermata jijabai Technological Institute UG course.

Hi!!!
Hope you are doing well.
Yes, an outside Maharashtra student can get admission into VJTI or COEP through MH-CET marks.
Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is a state funded college located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and also one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia
College of Engineering, (COEP), Pune is a autonomous institute of the Government of Maharashtra, situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Hope you are clear now. Feel free to ask if you have any other queries. All The Best!!!
there are hardly any colleges that award admission on the basis of diploma marks. it is advisable that you answer a national entrance and take admission, there is a scheme of lateral entry that allows you to directly join 2nd year but that is only possible if you are pursuing 1st year in engineering in that college

The infrastructure is good enough not that great but it contains every essential component. The college classes are now fitted with acs and some with projectors too. There are labs with non working components so it is one cons. Overall its ok. The hostel now are renovated so has good condition and capacity.
Good Facilities are available in my Deportment. A decent atmosphere to study is also available. The infrastructure could be a little bit better because the quality of the furniture is not good. There are enough screens and a projector set up for e-learning also.
Since the college is over 100 years old, the infrastructure is not a strong point of the college, with CS, Textile, and IT departments being an exception. Yes, VJTI does provide hostel facilities for students, although not all students get the hostels. There are 2 hostels for B.Tech and Diploma, for both boys and girls. In addition, there is 1 hostel for M.Tech students. The M.Tech hostels are amazing, with facilities like geysers, cleaner washrooms, balconies, and lifts.
