Veludaiyar Polytechnic College was established in 2013 and is one of the affiliated colleges in the region established at Tiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. This young and promising institute provides only three diploma courses in the engineering fields and targets 385 students in total. The college occupies a large area of 25 acres and therefore offers sufficient area for the college education and other co-curricular activities. The college has 31 committed educators in the faculty, which helps the college sustain a proper student-to-teacher ratio so as to pay careful attention in teaching all the students who enrol themselves in the college.

Veludaiyar Polytechnic College has a number of up-to-date facilities that meet the needs of students in their academic and/or personal endeavours. For overall personality development, there are sports facilities, physical fitness, and to enhance the group spirit, the campus has a sports area. Auditoriums and seminar halls organise various activities such as refresher courses and student personality development programmes for the development of the students all around.

There are currently three full-time diploma courses offered at Veludaiyar Polytechnic College. Some of these programmes are Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Civil Engineering. As all courses offered aim at giving the learners academic direction and orientation towards professional practice, they are well positioned to become valuable players in the engineering market. This total student enrolment for the college of 385 demonstrates the colleges’ ability to maintain the size of the college that could effectively cater to the needs of every student with focused attention.
