Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy, Salem Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy (VMCP), Salem. It is a well-loved institution with enormous program size in pharmaceutical sciences at the bachelor, master, and doctorate levels. VMCP is approved by PCI and institutes a tough selection mechanism to encourage students to join their pharmacy programs. VMCP is known for using all regional and state competitive entrance examinations for its admissions. Having been instated by the uppermost court-of-learned objects, one might say that absolutely capable students are given fifteen seats in the prime pharmacy programs around the country. 

Both home and out-of-TN students make up 96% and 4%, respectively. For B.Pharma and D.Pharma, candidates taking a PM+2 course who wish to join any one of these programs must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as core subjects during their higher secondary years. Several entry requirements exist for prospective students in M.Pharma, including holding a recognized undergraduate degree in pharmacy (B.Pharma).

Application Process

An applicant has to follow these steps to apply for admission in Vinayaka Mission's College of Pharmacy-

1. Check Eligibility: Ensure one meets the academic requirement for the program one wants to enroll in. 

2. Register for Entrance Exam: Interested candidates are required to register for the entrance exam when the University conducts.

3. Prepare for the Exam: Go through the syllabus and prepare accordingly for the entrance exam.

4. Appear for the Entrance Exam: Attend the entrance test on the given date. 

5. Check Results: Watch out for the declaration results about the entrance examination.

6. Apply to VMCP: In case you have qualified the entrance exam, later on, fill the desire application form for the college. The form would be either on the college website or at the admission office. 

7. Submit Required Documents: Together with the application, submit all the relevant documents (hard copies of the following). These are routinely requested:

• Entrance exam score card
• Marksheets for 10th and 12th standards
• Degree certificate (for postgraduate applicants)
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Recent passport-size photographs

8. Attend Counselling: Most likely, a counseling session will be called, upon shortlisting.

9. Pay Fees: Make a fee payment once through the selection.

10. Complete Admission Formalities: Visit the college on the mentioned day for all additional admission processes.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: VMCP has 100 seats for B.Pharma. Admission is dependent on an exam conducted by the university. The period of the program is 4 years.

D.Pharma: This program has 60 seats. Admission is based on the university's examinations.

Pharm.D: The program accommodates 30 students. University entrance examination will determine admission. It takes 6 years to complete.

M.Pharma: M.Pharma has different specializations accepted in VMCP:  Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance. Its intake is 15 students for a specialization. As with other programs, they are admitted basing on the competitive examinations conducted by the university. These are 2-year courses.

Pharm. D. (Post Baccalaureate): The program has an intake of 10 students. The norm of admission is entrance examination-based system like other postgraduate programs.

Ph.D in Pharmacy: Full-time and part-time pH.D programs are offered by VMCP in Pharmacy. The admissions into the programs are student placement through the competitive entrance examinations given by the university. In general, it lasts for 3-5 years.
