Application Process

The application process at VO Chidambaram College of Education depends on the respective program:

Admission Process as per Degree

B.Ed.: Admissions to the B.Ed. Program shall be granted on the basis of merit as assessed through marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection procedure follows the policies laid down by the state government, UT administration, and the allied university. The intake for the program is 100 students.

M.Ed.: Admission to M.Ed. is on a merit basis based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The criteria for selection shall be laid out by the state government, university, or UT administration. Total fees for the M.Ed program are Rs 66,000.

M.Phil. in Education: The college offers both full-time and part-time M.Phil. programs in Education. Since M.Phil. program is research-oriented, admission will probably follow a competitive selection process. A full-time intake of 20 students is planned. 

Ph.D. in Education: This follows same logic as M.Phil.: full-time and part-time, with a meticulous procedure of admission narrowing it down to the best-placed candidates. Again, the number of places for full-time work is limited to 20.
