The college provides basic facilities needed for arts students, classrooms are simple but sufficient and library has a fair collection of books on education, psychology and teaching related topics. Since it is a women's college the environment is safe and disciplined.
Academics in the education department are good. The syllabus follows assam University guidelines and covers areas like pedagogy, child psychology and educational philosophy and teaching methodology. Teachers are approachable and supportive.
There is no placements no internship available in the campus. Mostly just focusing on theory based education no other facilities provided. So if someone wants to get placed through campus placement this is not the right choice.
The college has average facilities, classrooms are quite big but mostly traditional chalk and board not tech-enabled. The library is useful with commerce books and many other like competitive exam books also. And there is a campus lab also. The campus is clean and safe for students.
I have done my bcom from here and the teachers are good at teaching and I have actually learned a lot from them. The course really enrich my knowledge in commerce like statistics accounting and especially economics.
There is no placements in the campus. There is only career counseling program happened once. The quality of teaching of placements at my college is very poor. We do not have any industry in the town as it is a small town.
Women's college Silchar has a compact but decent campus. Classrooms are simple and functional, though not very modern, wifi and smart boards are not there. The Library is helpful with a good collection of textbooks and reference materials for arts and commerce.
The college is good for its disciplined academic environment and faculty members are cooperative and supportive. The English department is very except that the HOD is not good enough in teaching. Teaching is more theory based.
There is no formal placement cell for the students. Most graduates either go for private teaching or higher studies, competitive exams or bed. Career councelling is limited and the students have to work hard on their own to get career options.
The women's colleg silchar has average infrastructure, facilities and the classrooms have traditional style desk benches and there is no wifi, smart boards etc. no sports center. There is a canteen and Food is okay okay.
I have graduated in 2022 in english honours and the teachers were really good especially the guest faculty and one senior teacher was but the hod was not good at teaching. The curriculum is updated accordingly ugc guidelines.
There is no placements in the campus so we did not get any opportunity from the department or administration. Only one bank sector came for recruiting students but the payment was too less and first you have to complete the training without pay.
The college has minimum facilities, and equipment. We have a small canteen, library which has necessary books and few more. The campus is very small but it is in the middle of the town so you will find everything nearby malls food stalls, restaurant etc. there is no sports center.
I have completed my bachelor in english honours, the teachers were very good at teaching especially the senior ones. And they really motivated us for higher studies and better future. The curriculum was upto date.
The quality of placements at my college is very bad as we don't have on campus placement. No department has placements so nothing can be said about that. I do not think it will be available in the next decade too.b
Okay okay
Only if you're coming for studies you can choose otherwise explore other college
Our college has very limited infrastructure and classrooms have white and blackboard and only 1 digital board. Library is quite big and you will find almost all the books relevant to your course. Other than that outside exposure is not that great. Canteen is there. It's average. Wifi is not there. Hostel facility available.
Talking about academic is good to be honest. I have done my graduation in english literature and my department teachers were really great. They teach from basic to advanced. Made me understand literature very well. 1 or 2 teachers are there who does not care much but other than that all are good.
We don't have placements in our campus. And I didn't know something like placement even exist i got to know later after joining my pg. So in this regard the college provides nothing. So if someone looking for placement they should join some other institutions
The college has very limited facilities and the campus is very small. We do not have sports complex. The Library is good you will find all the books related to your course. The classrooms does not have projector and all just traditional black board or some rooms has white boards.
Apart from infrastructure academically it is great. I studied ba English literature and my teachera were very good at teeaching. they taught us everything and ultimately helped in clearing CUET. yes the curriculum is updated.
We do not have placements cells in our college. So I can not tell anything related to placements as it is not available. Maybe the administration will look into this and do something to connect students with good companies.
The women's college silchar does not have much facilities. It has a library, a small playground. We does not have wifi facilities. hostel food is average. The hostel wardens are very strict in terms of security and safety. Which is good. Living places are clean and well maintained
The teachers are amazing they teach with all their efforts. And will always there to help students. The curriculum is updated and helps in preparing for other exams like PG entrance or NET. The course I did helped me to get a good job.
We never heard of anything like placements in the college. I came to know about it after going to other college. So it does not have any placements or internships for its students. The college should arrange such facilities for students.
The college has very limited necessary infrastructure and facilities. It has a library which is small. There is no labs, wifi and sports centres. Hostel is quite big and can accomodate enough students and food quality is average. Living places are clean and canteen food is not that good.
Teaching quality is excellent. The teachers are very helpful, kind and supportive. You can easily contact them for anything. However, we don't have smart boards . My course really made me job ready. I gained much knowledge from my teachers.
Women's college does not have any placement cell so it does not offer any placements facilities to its students. As I have completed my graduation in 2022, as per my knowledge it is still same. So, the college needs to think about it and provide students with better career opportunities.
The campus is very small so it can not accommodate all the necessary infrastructure so yes we don't have much facilities. It has a canteen, library, and hostel facility. the college does not provide WiFi facilities yet. Speaking of cleanliness and food hygienic is good.
I studied BA English Honours and the quality of teaching was good. Some teachers are highly experienced and very good at teaching. the curriculum is updated and it really helps in preparing for giving the entrance examination of PG. The course I studied made me job-ready as after just completed my graduation I joined a company as a content writer.
The campus does not have any placements facility. No company visited for recruiting students. The administration should work on this and take necessary steps to help students with placements within the campus.
