No it is not like that. They will defenetly call you if you are performing very good in in the GD/PI interview. They won't consider the entrance exam, But you have to score 75 percentile and above in any of the entrance exams which they will accept.

Dear Ayan Kar, XIME will accept February MAT 2019. But you have to register in XIME website beofore 27th February and they will give you time to edit your application after 27th to update your score. Candidates who will secure percentile either equal or more than XIME Bangalore cutoff, will be shortlisted for further selection rounds. Last year, the cutoff of XIME was 75. It is likely that the XIME Bangalore cutoff will remain mire or less similar for the next academic year. 

Candidates securing 75 or more percentile in any one of the mentioned exams will be eligible for participating in the XIME so if your percentile is above 75 you can apply!
