The extensive Chemical Kinetics and Transition State Theory online course will introduce the calculation of rate constants with the help of two basic models, i.e., the transition state theory and the collision theory. The TST will be elaborated in detail by solving several examples and understanding the extensions and limitations. The course will also revise the Boltzmann distribution, partition function, and statistical mechanics concepts.

Candidates must have prior knowledge about chemical dynamics and kinetics to understand the Chemical Kinetics and Transition State Theory certification syllabus. The course is designed by IIT Bombay and segregated into 45 lectures, spanned over eight weeks.
