hello. Im so and so confused. about NEET eligliblity criteria. in board I didnt score above 60%overall I got only 50+. and also my pcb total is 52.6%in physics alone 45mark.is there chance rejecting my NEET form.am I eligible for NEET?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 23rd Sep, 2020
Hi

You don't need to worry as
Your overall % obtained by you in  class 12th is not considered for Neet eligibility criteria , only your aggregate in PCB is taken in account for considering your eligibility.

Neet eligibility criteria says that, to be eligible one must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50  % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if belong to general category , or  at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st

Now,
Your aggregate in PCB is
= 52.6%  i.e more than 50% so irrespective of the category you belong to  you fulfil above aforesaid % requirement and thus you are eligible for neet examination

I choose haryana as my domicile state in neet form but now I have domicile of other state and not of haryana. can i change the domicile state during counselling?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 25th Sep, 2020

NTA did mention that you can mention the name of any State under your "State of Eligibility" and that will not prevent you from claiming the State Quota of the States that you hold the domicile of. So going by that, it is absolutely ok to mention any State under State of Eligibility. You can participate in the State Counselling of the State that you hold the domicile of. I passed my 12th 2 to 3 years back and now to improve Marks Im giving 12th again through NIOS to write medical entrance so In the NEET form what will be my passing year for 11th and 12th std ?

Bhargavi Patil 24th Oct, 2020

Hey! The passing year for your 11th grade will be the actual year you gave your finals for 11th grade. Where as the passing year for your 12th grade will be 2020 or 2021 depending on when you appear for the exam. The passing year has to be the same year that corresponds to the marks that you'll be entering in your application form for NEET.

if someone has lost copies of photos he pasted on neet form, can he paste other pjotagraph of him on admit card and attendance sheet.

S. Saha Student Expert 8th Sep, 2020
It is strictly mentioned in Neet 2020 Bulletin that the Photograph should be as same as uploaded in the application form of Neet 2020. But in case if you don't have the same photograph, you can get it by by visiting nearby photo studio. You have still have 5 days left for Neet 2020 examination. Or else you can carry your recent photographs where your face must be visible properly. They usually ask to bring the same Photograph as uploaded in the application form to recognize a candidate easily. But try to carry the same as uploaded in the application as much as possible. Or else you can carry any of your recent photographs.

I have filled my 2020 NEET form from open category but I am from scbc category

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Sep, 2020

Did you mean SEBC? If that is so, SEBC is not a National level Category. It is not in use in all the States but NEET application on the other hand is released across India in the same manner. And so if you belong to SEBC and your community is listed in the Central OBC list, then you should be selecting OBC as your Category. But if the Community you belong to is not listed in the Central OBC list, the you should select your Category as Open Category. But while registering for State Counselling, you can select SEBC as your Category and avail its benefits.

Pmsss offer colleges outside state but as we have chosen state quota in neet form , also jkbopee does not offer colleges outside state, how are we eligible for mbbs under pmsss??

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Sep, 2020

This is exactly true. PSMSSS is only eligible for those Candidates who wish to study MBBS outside Jammu and Kashmir. Now Jammu and Kashmir has 100% State Quota and those Candidates who wish to participate in All India Counseling, need to sign a self declaration form stating that they are not eligible for State Quota and that is the reason they are participating in All India Quota. This means those Candidates who hold the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for PSMSS scheme for studying MBBS.
