Do colleges in India like MIT,BITS, Thapar, etc see the student profile before admission? like how many achievements does that student have and if the student was a part of student council or not?

Hi aspirant,

I assume you are talking about engineering as of your profile. See the colleges above mention are the leading private Engineering college in terms of ranking and placements across the India. The admissions to the college completely on merit based and no previous records such as you have mention I taken into consideration. For admission into Manipal Institute of Technology you need to write MET examination and following that was it would be allotted to you based upon your rank and preferences. Similarly for admission into Birla Institute of Technology you need to write BITSAT and for admission into Thapar University you need to write JEE examination and following your rank a seat would be allotted through counselling.

Hope it helps!!
