Congratulations on qualifying NEET 2020.

At a score of 508, unless you belong to some reserved category chances look bleak for you to secure a seat in any Government or State Medical College, especially Important Medical Institutes like GMC Kannur. However, do keep a check on the Government and State Medical Counselling Dates and Procedure.

Secondly, if you do not have any issues, you might consider a drop this year. As far as I have seen students securing in 450-550 range in first try, minimum increase their score to 600-650 range in second try, and get assured of a seat in a National Medical College of Choice.

Hey,

Since you did not mention your category, I am assuming you are of general category.

Last year the cut off for government medical colleges under 15% All India Quota was a rank of 12611. So based on that, you will not get Government Medical College, Kannur through All India Counselling.

Your profile suggests you are from Tamil Nadu. You can get the following colleges under 85% State Quota of Tamil Nadu -

  • Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College Perambalur
  • IRT Perundurai Medical College
  • Karpaga Vinayaka Institute of Medical Sciences Kancheepuram
  • Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences Coimbatore
  • Madha Medical College Chennai
  • Rajah Muthiah Medical College Annamalai University

Keep in mind that these are based on previous year cut off. Cut off varies every year depending on various factors. To know more about Tamil Nadu cut off, check here https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-tamil-nadu
