If your OBC NCL certificate includes all the required details like income limit, caste validity, and central OBC recognition but is in your state’s format and not in the specific format prescribed by IISER, it may still be considered valid initially. However, IISER usually asks for the certificate in their given format during verification. So to avoid any issues, it’s better to get the certificate re issued in the correct central government format as soon as possible. This way, you’ll be safe during the document verification phase.
I have uploaded my obc-ncl certificate which is a centralized one contains all criteria except the format it's in my state format for iiser counselling is there any issues
If your OBC-NCL certificate includes all required details like caste, non-creamy layer status, and income limit, it should generally be accepted.
Even though it’s in your state’s format, IISER mainly checks whether it meets central guidelines.
Sometimes, they may still ask you to upload it in the Central Government format later.
To be safe, keep a copy ready in the prescribed central format if possible.
This way, you won’t face any issues during final document verification.
