Congratulations for cracking the JEE Main examination.

You have interest in Bachelor of Technology in biotechnology. You have interest in two particular Colleges called "Indian institute of technology, Guwahati"  and "Indian institute of technology, Roorkee".

Both Colleges are very good according to infrastructure, Faculty, study environment, laboratory, hostel, Research etc. Although both are IITs.

But you know that Indian institute of technology, Roorkee is a newer Indian institute of technology compared to Indian institute of technology, Guwahati.

So, I would suggest you to opt for Indian institute of technology, Guwahati. Because according to placement records IIT Guwahati is comparatively good rather than IIT Roorkee.

If you want pursue MS in biotechnology (from USA), after you pursue your B.Tech in Biotechnology from any of the above IIT, you would be required to appear for TOEFL and GRE examinations.
