Hello,
if you've applied for PCMB in KCET, it's not mandatory to write the bilology paper unless you're aiming for courses like agriculture, veterinary or pharmacy. for engineering admissions, only PCM scores are considered and biology iss not required. KCET provides separate rankings for engineering and agriculture, so writing biology will give you an additional agriculture rank without affecting your engineering rank
It is not compulsory to write Biology in KCET even if you have applied for PCMB group.
If you write Biology , then you will get two separate rankings :
Engineering Rank – based on Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM).
Agriculture/AYUSH Rank – based on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
So, if you're interested in only engineering , you can skip Biology. But if you want a chance in agriculture, veterinary, or AYUSH courses also, then it's better to write Biology.
Hope it helps !
