As stated that they consider the gate score it is meant that they consider the score of the specific discipline which you have attempted in GATE. In your query you have not mentioned which discipline you have opted for GATE so if you have attempted GATE mechanical paper  then your gate score if this discipline is considered and if you have attempted GATE production and industrial engineering paper then gate score of this discipline is considered.
