There is no normalisation process for the selection criteria. All the board students will be chosen based on their cut-off without any normalisation during TNEA councelling.
But, during the ranking process, for a particular subject if the Maximum mark is not obtained by any CBSE students then the normalisation is done. That mark is only used for ranking the students and not during the selection process.
