Hello there, hope you are doing good! I would like to tell you that as per the official guidelines the EWS certificate should be dated after 1 April 2020. As you have your certificate dated in October, it will work for both in JEE mains and JEE advanced.

yes, if you have category certificate even it has expired will work and at the time of jee advance application form and counselling you can upload your new latest cast certificate in order to claim your category quota seat for taking admission in the iits, iiits, nits, cfti institutes.
