It’s important that the name on your documents matches exactly, including spelling and formatting, even if there’s a minor difference.

To avoid complications

Correcting the Name in the High School Marksheet: If possible, get in touch with your high school board to request a correction

Affidavit: If you can't change the name on the high school marksheet, you could provide an affidavit stating that both names refer to the same person.

NEET UG Application: In the NEET UG 2025 application form, mention any discrepancies between documents. You may be asked to upload a certificate or affidavit to explain the situation.

For NEET UG 2025, a minor name discrepancy, such as "Mohammad" vs. "Mohammed," may require correction. Contact your board to update your high school marksheet or provide an affidavit declaring both names refer to you for verification during admission.

Hello there,

For NEET UG 2025, it's essential that the name on your application matches the name on your documents. A slight difference like the one you mentioned (from "Mohammad" to "Mohammed") could cause issues during document verification.

To avoid any complications, you have a couple of options:

  1. Correct the Name in High School Marksheet : If possible, contact your school or board to get the name corrected.

  2. Affidavit : If correcting the name isn't feasible, you can provide an affidavit stating the discrepancy and affirming that both names refer to the same individual. Ensure that this affidavit is properly notarized.

For NEET, the authorities typically allow minor discrepancies if you can provide supporting documents (like an affidavit) explaining the difference. However, it's a good idea to contact NEET helpline or check the official guidelines for the most accurate advice on this matter.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
