Well, there is a difference between a chemist and a chemical engineer. B.Sc in chemistry comprises of all the major fields of chemistry (though not in too much of depth). Whereas in chemical engineering you learn how to use these applied principles of chemistry in production and manufacture of materials. So basically a chemical engineer deals with processing and manufacturing of goods, managing technical aspects of a plant or a factory.

There are many job opportunities for a chemical engineer too: You can be a technician in plants, industries and factories, a safety analyst, you can work in production department, in governmnet agencies and bodies, in quality management department etc.

Though both sound similar but no they aren't. A bachelor holder will be an all rounder in chemistry. They know different things such as analysis, structure, how chemistry works etc.. its basically a course for pure chemistry. To know in depth while creating and studying different reactions to create something new tomorrow.

While your chemical engineering deals with a product developed by a chemist you try to figure out how to bring it on  a business scale, determining the quality of the components that should be adopted and deciding what kind of manufacturing processes to use.

Chemical engineering has its restrictions but chemistry is wide open.

The pay of a CE is high too but as a chemist if you advance in RnD the pay is much much high.

Chemical engineers usually get work in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, design and construction, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, food processing, specialty chemicals, microelectronics, electronic and advanced materials, polymers, business services, and biotechnology. With good experience you pay will increase bit chemical engineering is much easier than chemistry.
