what is the syllabus for gatb exam for biotechnology and can a student from bsc life science give the exam?

GAT-B exam has two parts in it

PART- A:
This will have 60 compulsory multiple choice questions of the level of 10+2 from PCMB subjects. 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer and 0.5 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

PART-B:
The questions will be asked from Bachelor's level with Life science and Biotechnology domains. There will be 100 questions out of which you will have to attempt 60 questions. 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The syllabus of GAT-B is as follows:
1. Biomolecules
2. Viruses
3. Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell structure
4. Molecular structure of genes and chromosomes
5. Principles of Micrology
6. History of Immunology
7. Major Bioinformatics resources and search tools
8. Restriction and modification enzymes
9. Totipotency
10. Animal cell structure
11. Chemical engineering principles applied to biological cycles
12. Engineering principles of Bioprocessing
13. Tissue culture and it's application, micropropagation

And Yes. BSc. Life science students can give this exam.

Your gat-b examination paper will be of  two parts Part A and Part B
The syllabus of A will be your class 12 syllabus, following NCERT will be beneficial.
