The last rank in the first round for mbbs admission at aiims delhi under general category in 2024 was around 47. For other categories like obc, sc, and st, the ranks were higher. The exact cutoff can vary slightly each year depending on the number of applicants and difficulty level of the exam.

Hi ,

Understanding the difference between All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank is crucial during NEET counselling. To clarify when people talk about the closing rank for AIIMS under the SC category, like in your case (13250), they are usually referring to the SC Category Rank, not the general AIR.

Now let’s come to your case:

SC Category Rank: 13,800 and All India Rank: 2,11,895

Based on past cut-offs, it looks like you're very close to the cut-off range for AIIMS Raipur and a few others like AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Kalyani, or AIIMS Bathinda. Your chances are slightly on the edge, but not impossible.

Include all AIIMS in your choice filling — from top ones to newer ones , don’t skip ESIC colleges or state government colleges where SC cut-offs are lower and be patient and stay alert during Round 2 and Mop-up rounds — many students upgrade or drop out.

Best of luck!

Hello,

To check your chances of getting AIIMS, your NEET score, category, and state quota are important. If your score is above 680 (for General category), you have a good chance for top AIIMS like Delhi.

For other AIIMS, a score above 640–660 can also work depending on your category and rank. Cut-offs change every year, so it's better to use a college predictor for more accurate results.

Hope it helps !

I hope this helps you.

Best of luck for your preparation.

Hello!

With a score of 500 marks in NEET 2025. That’s a strong score, especially when combined with your SC category rank of 1300. You’ve also mentioned that your state domicile is Punjab, but since you're asking about All India Quota (AIQ), the state doesn’t matter for this counselling.Let’s focus on AIIMS Rishikesh. It is one of the newer AIIMS institutions, but still highly competitive. In previous years, the closing SC rank for AIIMS Rishikesh under All India Quota has been between 1000 to 1500, depending on category and availability. So with a SC rank of 1300, you are right on the edge. You might get it in the second round or mop-up round if seats remain or if other candidates withdraw.

Make sure to fill AIIMS Rishikesh as a top choice in your MCC counselling ,also consider including AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Gorakhpur, AIIMS Raebareli, etc., as they sometimes have slightly lower cut-offs.

Wishing you all the best for your counselling journey, and thank you for asking!

Dear Aspirant,

The AIIMS B.Sc. Paramedical Entrance Exam, which was originally scheduled for June 28, 2025, has now been officially postponed and would take place on July 13, 2025. According to the updated schedule released by AIIMS, candidates can download their admit cards starting from July 7, 2025, through the official website. The entrance exam will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode and will consist of 90 questions to be attempted in 90 minutes. The results are expected to be declared around July 18 or 19, 2025. Following the result announcement, the counselling process is likely to begin from July 21 onwards, with seat allotment for the first round scheduled for July 31. Candidates who are allotted a seat must confirm their acceptance between August 1 and 8. The postponement allows candidates some additional time for preparation and to stay updated with official notifications and announcements.

Best of Luck

Your college depends on your score, rank, college preference and state domicile.

Hello,

With this rank, you've achieved something truly amazing—AIIMS Delhi is one of the toughest seats in India to secure. Based on recent trends, admission in the General category usually closes around rank 47 in the first round, and rarely goes beyond 57 even in mop-up rounds . For OBC , closing ranks have hovered around 186, and for EWS around 214 . So, a rank of 2,380 is unfortunately quite far from the threshold needed even for reserved categories at AIIMS Delhi. That said, there are still plenty of options:

1. Other AIIMS Campuses newer AIIMS locations like Bhubaneswar, Nagpur, Jodhpur, and Raipur often admit students with ranks much beyond 50—even up to 1,800 or more depending on category . With a rank of 2,380, you might still get a seat in campuses like AIIMS Jodhpur or Madurai, which have slightly lower cutoffs.

2. State Government Medical Colleges most state medical colleges have their own quotas and cutoffs that are significantly different from AIIMS. Your rank is likely to be competitive under the state quota, especially if you're applying from your home state.

3. Private or Deemed Universities many private institutions offer MBBS seats through NEET counselling with cutoffs that are more accessible.

All the best!

Hello ,

After a BSc in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT). MSc Clinical Embryology at AIIMS is indeed a specialized and competitive program. AIIMS generally requires a strong background in Allied Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or equivalent degrees, and your 4-year OTT degree does align well with their academic expectations. While specific eligibility criteria can vary slightly each year, most AIIMS MSc programs prefer candidates with in-depth understanding of biology and hands-on experience something your OTT background likely provides. However, it’s always best to refer to the AIIMS prospectus of the specific year you’re applying in, as they list recognized degrees and equivalent courses accepted.

AIIMS does conduct entrance exams, and solving previous year question papers can greatly boost your chances.
