NEET is an entrance exam conducted by NTA to get admission in courses like MBBS BDS BAMS etc.

The eligibility criteria for NEET entrance exam is 10+2 or appearing from a well recognised board in Physics Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.

The percentage requirement in PCB for NEET entrance exam is as followed:

UR/EWS- 50%
OBC/SC/ST- 40%
PWD- 45%

In order to pursue graduation in the medical field,and to appear in NEET UG examination candidates must have passed class 12 in PCB with a minimum of 50% marks ( General category )
(OBC/SC/ST - 40% PWD - 45% )

If you score less than the above mentioned scores then To get eligible for neet UG selection you have to give improvement exam and can register and appear for the examination .

UR - 50%
OBC/SC/ST - 40%
PWD - 45%

At your marks you are at the sader side in any case so your +2 marks should not be an issue.

AIIMS Delhi eligibility criteria is given below:-

Though admission in Aiims for MBBS is through NEET, it has its own eligibility criteria which is given below:-

To be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English as core /main subjects and must have got:-

  • at least  60  % in aggregate of PCB and English   in 12th examination  if belongs to general /obc category

  • at least  50%  in aggregate of PCB and English if belongs to st/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB and English in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.


†††† IMPORTANT NOTE :- Those who have passed biology as an additional subject as also eligible provisionally until supreme court gives its judgement

***** to be eligible for Aiims one has to be at least 17 years old  by 31st December of the year of appearing.

NOTE :-  Important thing to note is while AIIMS considers aggregate in PCBE i. e physics chemistry biology and English  ,  Neet considers only PCB aggregate.

As admission in aiims is through neet , so you need to appear in neet and thus you need to be eligible for it as well.

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit  of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. Hi there. In response to your query the organising committee for the examination has the rule that the Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates should have scored 40% of passing marks in Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in aggregate in the qualifying examination . As you are well above that percentage you would be eligible for the examination.

You need to score 50% marks in your class 12th result to sit for the exam. If your aggregate percentage is less than this you won't be able to sit in the exam. For SC/ST the minimum percentage requirement is 40% and for PWD is 45%. Keep yourself updated with the latest notification to know changes in eligibility.

The eligibility criteria for getting in any medical colleges through NEET, other than AIIMS, is as follows :

In order to pursue graduation in the medical field, candidates must have passed class 12 in PCB with a minimum of 50% marks . However, those candidates who belong to the reserved category required only 40% in the qualifying exam.

Furthermore, The eligibility criteria for AIIMS is as follows : Candidates must have passed class 12 th examination or equivalent from any recognized board. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English must be main subjects in class 12th examination. A minimum score of 60% for General Category and Other Backwards Castes and 50% for SC/ST is required for AIIMS MBBS Admissions.
