Hey aspirant

You want to know which is better
Government
Private
Aiims
Jipmer

First of all you have to score 615+ ,if you achieve this then you can get admission in best medical college for mbbs ,cut off go higher for different college more the cutoff more good college is
For example aiims Delhi you have to score 710-720 marks

Everyone want government college because it has less fees and more opportunities after doing mbbs ,
If some one asked me government or private I will definitely choose government as I don't have 1 crore to pay for 5 years ,In government college 1-5 lakh you will do mbbs or if you get admission in aiims and jipmer then whole year fees will be under 5000

Aiims >jipmer > government colleges >private ( if you have huge bank balance then choose private if you are not getting admission in government college )

For example if you have to choose between aiims Patna and kgmu Lucknow government college then I will suggest you kgmu Lucknow because this college has better faculty and more things to learn and develop good skill
If you have option of aiims Delhi and kgmu Lucknow then you should choose aiims Delhi

How to choose best college for your mbbs
First of all see the locality and environment it suits to you or not
Second see the language issues suppose if you know only Hindi and you going to open the clinic where there people only talk Bengali ,Marathi then how you will communicate first you have to learn their languages
Third college building , campus , faculties and most important thing library For studying and opd patient ( more the patient more you will learn)
Fourth you feel good after taking admission means you adjutsted in the environment and you will happy there and able to study good and have a safe environment
Fivth for further graduation MD /MS option also there in your college

You can visit the career 360 article

At the last I want to say some of the aiims are very good and some of the government college are not good but some of the private good but you need so much money for private so don't go for private and basically you have to be your own self so you should focus on your self and study from your side but we want good facilities as the professor good and lab faculty good it will make easier to survive and learn the things more easily as they are experienced and themselves they are doctors too!!

Some of top government college -
KGMU , Lucknow
BHU ,Varanasi
MAMC
AMU

Top aiims college -
Aiims Delhi
Aiims Bhopal
Aiims rishkikesh
Aiims bhuneshwar

Hello aspirant,
I hope you are doing well and good.If you are only aiming for AIIMS for MBBS, where you require not to only the mugging up the formulas but understading the logical reasoning which requires the knowledge of core concepts about the particular topic and you have to also focus for latest news and things in general knowledge.

As for the self study, I think you can manage AIIMS but it also depends on your timing, ability to do hard and smart work (planning, expected questions based on previous year etc.). If you are sure enough then only go for self study or else I would advise you to go for coaching (if you could afford) where they provide amount of question, guidance, inner competion etc as AIIMS have very limited seats and to get into goo AIIMS (Delhi, Jodhpur, Bhopal), you need to come in under 700 rank.

Goodluck!!!!!

GOOD LUCK!!

Hello aspirant,
First you should confirm if the college allows you to surrender or forefeit the seat. Most of the medical colleges allow that but some of them don't so you should keep a check of this. Then in colleges that allow you to surrender the seat you must pay the fine for surrendering the seat. For example I study in Assam medical college and they have a fine of 3 lac. So in case of surrendering a seat you must be aware of these 2 points.

Goodluck!

Hello,

Since 2020 there is no AIIMS or JIPMER exam for admission of MBBS, NEET is the single gateway for admission of MBBS for all the medical colleges in India, and even admission to BDS/Ayush Courses, BVSc, and from this year in many cases even NEET scores are acceptable for BSc Nursing though it's not mandatory regarding this, but yes NEET is absolutely mandatory for MBBS admission, in order to appear for the same, you have to meet the eligibility criteria as laid out:

  • attained 17 years as on 31st December of the appearing year,
  • passed 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and english as core subjects,
  • secured PCB aggregate against one's respective categories such as 50% for UR, 45% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD,
  • as of now the decision regarding upper age limit is pending in Supreme Court, hence till the verdict comes out there is no restrictions in number of attempts
