Hi aspirant,

Both AIIMS and NEET are conducted separately. Both have different criteria for eligibility.

AIIMS require 60 % in 10 + 2 higher secondary. If you score less than this, you are not eligible to write AIIMS. There is least chance that AIIMS will not conduct its exam.

From NEET you are eligible to choose any college apart from AIIMS. But you should score more than 50 % aggregate as it is the eligibility criteria for NEET.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

The eligibility criteria to appear for NEET UG  is that you must have passed 10+2 with Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics, Chemistry and English from a recognized board. If you belong to general category you must have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks in  Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together, if you belong to SC,ST,OBC category then you must have scored minimum 40% aggregate marks in  Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together. If you belong to PWD category you must score minimum 45% aggregate marks in  Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together. Your age as on December 31 in the year of admission must be 17 years.

Now you also need to fulfill the criteria that is specified for admission to MBBS in AIIMS. To be eligible to get admission to  MBBS in AIIMS you must have passed 10+2 with English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. If you belong to General or OBC category then you need to score minimum 60% aggregate marks in English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together, if you belong to SC/ST category then you need to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. If you belong to PWD category then you need to score minimum 45% aggregate marks in English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together. Your age as on December 31 in the year of admission must be 17 years. Assuming that you belong to general category you are not eligible to get admission to MBBS in AIIMS considering the eligibility criteria. If you belong to SC/ST/PWD category then you are eligible to get admission in AIIMS provided you must have qualified in NEET UG.

Hi

It doesn't matter even if admission in Aiims or any college is through neet,
Neet is just an entrance examination and nothing else. Colleges/ states can have a different eligibility criteria.

For example,
To be eligible for assam state counselling one must score at least get 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology if belongs to unreserved category while it is 50% for those who belongs to  reserved categories.

You can check the same at
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/assam-mbbs-admission

Similarly,
Aiims has a different eligibility criteria which is given below:-

to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

  • at least  60  % in aggregate of PCB and English   in 12th examination  if belongs to general /obc category

  • at least  50%  in aggregate of PCB and English if belongs to st/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB and English in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for Aiims 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old  by 31st December 2021

You can check the same by downloading the official brochure of AIIMS Delhi for which link is provided below

https://www.aiimsexams.org/pdf/MBBS-2020%20update%20%7BProspectus).pdf

Thank you

Hi

Which category do you belong to?

Though AIIMS MBBS entrance examination has been scrapped off and now admission is  through Neet examination but percentage requirement in 12th to be eligible for admission in mbbs in Aiims  is still the same as it was before scrapping of its entrance . The page number 11 of mcc counselling scheme pdf clearly mentions that it has its own eligiblity criteria, the link to download it is provided below

https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/Documents/UGSchemeFinal.pdf

Aiims eligibility criteria is given below:-

to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

So, if you belong / obc and don't have  least  60  % in aggregate of PCB and English   in 12th examination  then you are not eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for Aiims 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old  by 31st December 2021

You can check the same by downloading the official brochure of AIIMS Delhi for which link is provided below

Thank you

Hi aspirant,

The admission in AIIMS is basically on the percentile.

Your percentile is calculated on the basis of total marks. The percentile differs for same total marks of NEET as well from student to student.

If you want to get admission in AIIMS DELHI, you need to score atleast 670- 680 marks. And your percentile must be 98- 99.

If you come under category, this marks may slip down to around 600 marks

ALL THE BEST.

Hope it helps.

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

So on such marks and category you have very less or almost no chances of getting AIIMS Rishikesh according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the closing cut-off marks was 675 for AIIMS Rishikesh under All India quota for General category. So if you are targeting for NEET 2021 then your aim should not be less than 690+ out of 720 marks.

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
