Absolutely you can apply for CAT this year with your mentioned graduation scores. You'll be given a call from a college depending upon your performance in the entrance examination and your past academic records. So do prepare well and try to score more in CAT as your graduation scores are not very decent.

All the very best

Hello naresh ,

In order to apply to CAT you are required to meet the eligibility criteria for CAT which is as follows "Candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA to appear in CAT exam entrance exam 2019. They must have completed their graduation by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956." so yes since you have scored 52% which is above 50% you are eligible for cat, however some IIM's take 12th percentages into consideration for selection except that i dont think there is any issue regarding your application to CAT.

Hope this helps

Hello, seema

Yes, you can go for MBA, there is no rule barring you to get admission. Backlogs/KT themselves are not rejection criteria. The individual grades of your subjects in undergraduate studies are not considered in the intial phases of the admission process, but you might owe an explanation in the personal interview. So here only your cumulative GPA/percentage counts, and a low GPA can be compensated by a high CAT score and work experience.

All the best!

Dear Aspirant,
Your question is not clear.
Which college you are talking about .please clarify.
Thankyou

Hello.

Well for IIM-B, if you want to pursue a MBA/PGP program, you should appear for cat examination. After the exams, if you score well, then you might be shortlisted for written ability tests and personal interview. After going through these rounds, you will be admitted to IIM-B.

For FPM/PhD program you will have to appear for RAT exam, followed by interview.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Hello.

Well with the amount of experience that you have, you should apply for PGP-Ex program of IIM-B, rather than the normal PGP program.

However, there are no scholarship available at IIM-B. But you can get loans from any bank with competitive market interest rates. You can also apply for professional one year course, but the scholarships are not available.

Hope this helps

All the best.

Hello Nikita. Well, cat exam is a gateway to all IIMs and not specifically to IIM-B. For preparation, the first step is to take a full length mock test to know where you stand and to identify your strong and weak areas. The mock test of time, career launcher and ims will be better, since maximum candidates appear in their exams.
Once, you know your weak areas, then work on them. Keep writing the mock tests and keep analysing them and strategize accordingly. By doing so, you can easily bell the cat.

All the best. I hope you make it to IIM-B

Hello,

You have a great track record till now and congratulations for that. IIMs do look for a epic track record of the students. CAT is one of the greatest filter for the old IIMs to filter out the best minds. The the AWT(Arithmetic Written Test)- WAT (Written Aptitude Test)- GD(Group Discussion) & a PI (Personal Interview) which actually makes IIMs choose the best from the best.

Your basic 10th,12th scores do fit into the IIM minimum eligibility criteria.

Your track record is surely good. Work Experience is advised but not having one won't create any Problem for your selection cause most of the pervious 1-2 year batches have 50% of freshers.

I would suggest you focus on cracking the CAT. And prepare well for the AWT-WAT & PI.

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Hi soumak, IIM bangalore does not provide mtech degree. It has aerospace management program.

Hello Bhavya,

There are few important things one you should take care while preparing for IIMs or FMS.

  • Class 10th and 12th percentage(above 90%)
  • Graduation CGPA at least above 8
  • Job experiences
  • CAT score

So, the gap year will not at all affect your selection in any of the top b-schools. Just take care of things mentioned above. Thought the most important part is CAT score. Also, I suggest you to get a job experience in the year you are dropping. You can also apply to diploma courses other wise it is fine to drop now.

Beautiful but with struggles

College Infrastructure

It was a good experience overall but ya can be missing something like enough parking space and ofcurse the distance from city centre the campus structure and the overall building is quite satisfactory
