Hi Shashank,

In IIM Bangalore it is mandatory that you stay in the hostel for first year of MBA. After that in 2nd year you have the option of either staying in the hostel premises or you can stay outside off-campus. You have to make your own arrangements on your own cost if you are staying outside the campus.

hi,

to get a call from iim bangalore not only depends on cat score but also it depends on your academic curriculum, work experience etc. iim bangalore has 40% weight age to cat score and 50% weight to academics and 10% is on gender diversity and work experience. see as per previous years cutoff and students review you need to have more than 95 percentile in cat exam to get a call from iim's if you belongs to general category.

so study hard and best of luck.

for 2 years general MBA courses total  fees is 23 lakhs.

1 year executive mba program fees is 28 lakhs.

Hello Netra,
To get into IIM Bangalore, you need to appear for the CAT examination, which can only be given after graduation. There isn't any specific rank to get a call from the institution, but if you are a general category candidate, you need to score 99.8 or more and also have good previous academic scores. All the best!

Work experience gives you the weight age along with MBA entrance score to get selection in any reputed college or IIM but if you have not then try to score well in exams. Your performance play an important role in all the selection rounds how you represent yourself.

Hope this helps!

Hello

See, your college name does not hold any key but as you have got 90+ in both 10th and 12th so it can be a boost.

It depends upon the weightage given to 10th and 12th. It may be around 5 to 7%.

See, last year my friend got 99.6 percentile but still he was rejected by IIM A , B and C even Kozikode also because he just destroyed his GD and PI.

So do not think much just give your exam on 24th Nov.

Hi,

Admissions to IIM is based on the CAT percentile. The cut-off percentile for IIMs differ every year based on mainly 5 factors i.e. the difficulty level of the exam, number of test takers, candidates qualified, number of seats and the institute's ranking and reputation.

As you want to know specifically about IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, as per the previous years i e. 2018's cutoff, you will need to score 80 percentile in CAT if you are from general, 75 percentile if you are from NC-OBC cum transgender category, 70 percentile if you belong to SC and PwD category and 65 for ST.

In case of IIM Bangalore, you will need to score an overall percentile of 90, 80, 75, 70 and 60 if you are from general, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DA categories respectively.

Hello Himel, Greetings!

CAT cutoffs for any individual IIM is not a single number and they vary highly depending on your profile.

IIM-A insists much on diversity so cutoff %ile depends on other people's marks of the same field. Academic scores(10th, 12th and Graduation) above 80–85% is kind of must. In CAT, Mostly for engineers it is above 99 %ile and for fresher boys it is even higher. Non engineer girls with a good profile can expect a call at 96–97%ile also.

IIM-B puts a lot of emphasis on work experience so for freshers it is way too tough. Equal emphasis on Academics like Ahmedabad.

IIM-C is most flexible with work ex and acads compared to A and B. CAT is usually above 99 %ile.

IIM Indore’s call is most specifically dependent on your 10th and 12th marks and those having a low score in it ( below 87–88) should not expect a call at any CAT %ile.

For new IIMs, there is a common interview which you have to appear if you have no call from old IIMs. They usually have a cutoff around 96%ile.

Thank you, hope this helps.
