See in IIM Bangalore it provides 3 courses:

  • PGP: This ia full time post graduation program for two years and it's fees is 18.7 lakh which could be changed before admission of new batch.

  • PGPPM: It is a 1 year course of post graduation program in public policy management with a fees of 11.6 lakh.

  • PGPEM: This is a post graduation program in enterprise management. It is a 22 month weekend residential program mainly for working professionals and is equivalent to executive postgraduate program held in other IIMs. It has a fees of 14.5 lakh.

Remember IIM Bangalore generally prefers a high work experience students for normal PGP program or the one who has performed outstandingly in 10th and 12th like scoring above 97 percentage in both the exams. So aim for a very high percentile like above 99.6 for general category in order to get a call for interview.

All the best for your preparations and exam!!

First of all don't aim for any specific college. Keep an aim to get into top most college. The college you are aiming is slightly different from other IIMs as it gives much more weightage to work experience and excellent academic records.

For your CAT 2018 preparations if you are not joining any coachings like T.I.M.E. or Career Launcher then you would need to start working on your basics for all the 3 sections first.

Start quant section with preparations from books like Arun Sharma which is pretty good for quantitative ability. Start reading lots of novels by famous writers like Charles Dickens and various good newspapers like Hindu which will help you in improving your performance in verbal ability section. For improving your vocabulary you should start memorizing 5 new words daily with their meaning and correct pronounciation and use them in your daily conversations so that you can memorize them properly. For RC section start reading passages and understand the thought process of author and tone in which he/she is communicating with you. Also try to figure out message it wants to deliver. This will help you in answering most of the questions asked below the passage.

Along with this all through the year keeps on attempting lots of online mock test and analyse solutions of each mock test which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile.

In short work very hard on your basics first so that it helps you in solving paper with speed and accuracy and give lots of mock test with analysing their solutions to improve your score.

All the best!!

IIM Bangalore is a premiere institute and is ranked among one of the top 3 IIMs in our country.

To get a call from IIM Bangalore you need to score atleast above 92+ percentile.

But scoring percentile will not be enough because you must need to know that after CAT exam every IIM makes a merit list based on your aggregate score which comprises of many factors such as CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges.

There is also one more twist that even if you have a good profile then also it can be a little difficult to get a call from IIM Bangalore because it gives way more weightage to work experience. IIM Bangalore seeks for students who have high work experience or the one who have done extremely well in academics like scoring more than 95% in 10th 12th and graduation.

So to get a call from IIM Bangalore break the limits of percentile. I strongly recommend you to aim for scoring 95+ PERCENTILE. This will help you in getting a call from all 3 top IIMs i.e.IIM A, B and C.

Higher the percentile, higher will be the probability of your call conversion.

All the best for your last days preparations and exams!!

Hai

For the academic year 2018-20 all the competitive exams are over but not to worry you can prepare for 2019-21 batch. If you have any more queries feel free to contact us back .

Thank you

Yes you will ofcourse have to pay the fees else your admission is incomplete. The fees for two years is around 21 lakhs. You can take loans from any leading bank.

All the best!

I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.7 percentile to get a call for the next round. Fees is around 21 lakhs for 2 years

All the best!

It depends on the various aspect of your academic career mainly
1) 10th
2) 12th
3) Bachelor's degree

For IIMA

If you have 80+ percentage in 10th , 12th and bachelors , then around 99.5+ percentile is a decent CAT score to get a call . But if you are lagging in any one of the three aspect , then you certainly need to score around 99.8+ score to get a call .

For IIMB

In addition to a decent CAT score like 99.5+ , you need to make sure you have 80+ percentage in your 10th , 12th and bachelors . If you are lagging in any of these three then there is hardly any chance for you to get a call untill  you had a good work experience to compensate it .

For IIMC

They don't give a shit to your bachelor's degree . Just score 99.5+ and have 80+ in 10th and 12th thats it . and If you ar a girl you have an added advantage .

For rest IIM , the criteria is similar but you still need 99+ score to get a call from old IIM

Based on your overall academic profile and category, you will need to score atleast 90 percentile to get a call for the next round of IIM Bangalore.

All the best!

It will be very very hard to get into IIM A and B with an average academic background because they have a min. Criteria for calling each student in interview and if you are not able to pass in any of it then there is no chance of even moving to second round.

IIM A gives weightage to different academic and work experience parameter with scores. And sum of all those needs to cross a min score set by IIM A in order to make you eligible for interview round and of course apart from that your percentile involved which on seeing last few years trends should be atleast above 99.67.

If you are not able to clear the min score criteria set by IIM A then even with high percentile you won't be called for interview. One of my friend with a 99.83 percentile failed to pass min criteria by 0.5 marks and wasn't called for interview both in IIM A and B.

In IIM B it is further more complicated procedure as it gives way more weightage to quality work experience. Also it calls freshers with their a little less percentile who are like stars in 10th and 12th with above 97% in both class. So it's way too complicated. But we can surely say until and unless you have a high quality work experience which covers up your academic default then you won't get a chance in IIM B.

In short it's very very hard to get a chance for interview process in both IIM A and B with average academic background. If in case you get a chance then you can definitely cover it up by performing well in interview and essay writing part as they have high weightage in final aggregate score which generates the list for selection.

All the best for all your preparations!!

As per your educational background you have average performance records in your past academics and so you will be required to work more hard for the entrance and later selection rounds.
So what I suggest you is aim scoring above 98 percentile to get into top bschools through CAT and other top management colleges through CAT.

Yes it can be difficult to get in IIM A and B as they are strict with the past academics.
You will have to work harder than the average, focus more, manage and perform better than average.

Work on your profile making. Let it not be average and common.

Stay positive and work towards your goal. There are many other good colleges you can get into if not IIM's but your aim higher can make you reach the stars if not the moon.
But hope, work sincerely and you can make it.

Good Luck.
