Dr. Bala, was hoping to hear from you. You must have read the news that JIPMER has increased its seat intake by 49. That takes it to 249 from the existing 200. JIPMER Pondicherry branch will see an increase by 37 seats and Karaikal campus will get a seat increase of 12 seats. Which means with a score of 676, it is more easier for your daughter for a seat in MBBS in Puducherry branch. Even if she belongs to General Category, her chances only get better with this increase. So do not worry about it. NTA is expected to release NEET 2020 results by next week and so please keep an eye on the official website.

For these marks, the chances of getting a seat in Indira Gandhi Medical College Pondicherry is quite difficult even if the category is OBC.
Please note that these are according to the previous year trends, since there has been a change in seat matrix, we can't be sure about it.

From 2020, AIIMS and JIPMER have been scrapped. And so if youwant to study MBBS either in AIIMS or JIPMER, you have to appear for NEET Exam. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. So to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.
Hello,
As soon as the results are out, the counselling process will be held soon by nta. The first and second round is based on aiq 15% and the rest of the seats are given to the state as 85% state quota. Then the mop up round is held in which the remaining seats are provided to the students. And the last round which is institutional round gives away the last most seats remained.
Then the college merit list is updated and the admission process is started. As soon as the rounds are completely satisfied the colleges are not started.
Thank you. All the best
For MPH there only 18 seats, I was fortunate enough to get admission, air conditioned classrooms, Hostel is above average, mess could be better. hostel room has all the required things, cupboard, bedding etc. has a playground and library.
As we all know that this college is best for medical line studies any one who is interested should take admission in it and if I talk about the college infrastructure so it is best and have all facilities here
