Medical Colleges primarily teach MBBS, BDS and other allied courses. And for admission to MBBS and BDS is through NEET. And NEET gives admission to only one course at a single time. And so, pursuing 2 courses or Integrated courses in MBBS/BDS is not possible. But for other courses, thereare no Integrated courses yet and so unfortunately we do not have that option of studying UG and PG at the same time in JIPMER

Hi

To prepare well for neet follow the below mentioned tips or strategy

Make a routine or timetable :-
  • try to give at least 8 hours or more to study in your routine
  • your routine should revolve around things i.e study, revise and practice ,
  • in your routine give more time to the subject in which you are weak , for most of the medical aspirant physics is there weak point so give more time to physics in your routine give
  • keep short breaks of 20 to 30 minutes between your studies after every 2.5-3 hour

  • Give priority to ncert:-To prepare for neet exam first of all go through ncert to clear your basic concepts and take the help of reference book to understand the topics you find difficult to understand, Ncert is really good for clearing your basic concepts

  • Practice questions after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs and keep revising your concepts at regular intervals, like once in a week or 15 days . You can make short notes for quick revision of important concepts and formulas

  • You should practise at least 80-100 numericals and mcqs in Each chapter

  • Solve previous year questions

  • once you are done with the complete neet syllabus go through mock test papers

Thankyou

The application for CENTAC 2020 has been scheduled to be released on third week of May 2020. But the application has not yet released may be due to outbreak of COVID 19 Pandemic and also the lockdown period has been extended. Keep an eye on the official website for furthur details.

Dear aspirant,

I want to bring into light a practical truth, that any entrance examination is set such that students would be able to solve it and get admission. No institution holds examination so that no student would be able to crack it.

Same goes with NEET. The examination paper would be as it used to be. A slight increase in difficulty level is obvious, as the new generation comes with all previous knowledge of their predecessors. New generation is always supposed to be more intellectual than the previous ones.

Hence, do not worry. Just be confident and prepare with a cool mind.

P.S. Feel lucky as you've (means entire batch) got extra time to prepare and rock the upcoming exam!

Good luck.

Gowtham, for a Candidate belonging to BC Category, 600 marks might not be enpugh for a seat in AIIMS or JIPMER. But 600 will fetch you a seat in a Government Medical College easily. But whether 1 year preparation is enough or not for scoring 600 and above totally depends on your level of preparation and the strategies you follow. To help you with NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/

Admission to JIPMER for its 200 seats will be conducted through NEET score through All India Counselling. At this point in time, the procedure is yet unclear. But if you go by AIQ Counselling procedure, once NEET results have been declared and the merit list has been released, the DGHS on behalf of the MIC/NMC will release the online registration for counselling process. During the choice filling and locking process, you have to select JIPMER as one of your options. The seats will be allotted based on merit and preference. So if you want to secure a seat in JIPMER, you should score above 650 and have JIPMER as your first preference. To help you during admission and counselling, we have https://dqxeclau.top/mbbs-companion.

Sakshi, Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. And yes your Category also plays an important role. Because for qualifying in NEET, if you belong to General Category, you need to score atleast 50 percentile of the top NEET score and it is 40 percentile for OBC,SC,ST. Now AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct the admissions through NEET score through All India Counselling and so the cut offs are going to be higher. If you belong to General Category, you will need anything between 625-675 and if you belong to Reserved Categories, you will atleast need 625. As this is the first year that AIIMS and JIPMER will be conducting admissions through NEET score, the cut offs mentioned here might differ either by a small or a larger margin.

Gowtham, AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct their admissions through All India Counselling. Even if you belong to BC Category, because AIIMS and JIPMER are 2 prestigious Institutions, you will have to score atleast 600-650.

To score at that level, you need a preparation strategy. Physics needs utmost focus and time because it involves with theoretical concepts and numbers. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET. The important topics are Mechanics, ElectroDynamics, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Waves. Formulae form an integral part of your preparation. Memorise as many formulae as you can and write them down and stick them as post its so that you can always see them. Practise regularly and try various kinds of questions. Solving previous papers and mock tests to test your improvement. Keep a clock and check the time its taking you to solve these questions. And improve the time as you practise more. One day of the week should be set aside for revision so as to keep the mind fresh. For reading what the toppers and experts have to say, please visit our page at: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-neet-physics/amp . Chemistry is divided into Inorganic, Physical and Organic chemistry. For inorganic chemistry, you must refer to the NCERT. Organic comprises of many reactions and reagents which can be practised by writing over and over again. Physical chemistry requires a comparatively deeper understanding of concepts, so preparing with the NCERT and referring to study material a level higher than NCERT should be the way to go. For more information, please visit our page at: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-neet-chemistry . Biology is the biggest section in NEET, comprising about half of the exam, and acing this subject can help you in scoring more in the exam. Human Physiology and Genetics have maximum weightage in NEET. It is advisable to practise questions of Genetics from previous year question papers, which will give you a thorough understanding of how the questions are being asked. Topics of Plant and Animal kingdom have a lot of portion to memorize. You can prepare these topics by making a comparative table for the sub-topics and studying it together. Plant physiology is also equally important and easy to score. For more tips, please visit our page at:
