36 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy Ph.D. program in Economics shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by K R Mangalam University, Gurugram.
Eligibility Criteria
- A postgraduate degree or equivalent in the concerned subject from a recognized Indian University, or a postgraduate degree approved by the Association of Indian Universities/UGC/AICTE with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.
- Ph.D. admission is open for regular University faculty.
- Ph.D. admission is open only for those students who have qualified for UGC-NET (including JRF/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE) teacher fellowship or have passed M.Phil.
Admission Details
Admission to the Ph.D. program will be based on the overall performance in the graduate degree, Entrance Examination, Personal Interview, and positions available. Preference will be given to GATE-qualified candidates and those having sponsored projects.
