Scoring 82 out of 240 in the Manipal Entrance Test means your r ank is likely to be above 40,000, based on previous years’ trends. Unfortunately, this rank is quite low for CSE Stream at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), especially at the main Manipal campus.

A general idea of MET rank cutoffs for CSE at Manipal:

  • Manipal campus (main): CSE cutoffs are typically under 3,000–4,000 rank.

  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) may have higher cutoff ranks for CSE — sometimes up to 15,000–20,000 or more.

Hello Aspirant,

MET (Manipal Entrance Test) cutoff for an M.Sc. program at Manipal University is above 190. Candidates are advised to secure minimum 190 marks or above out of the total 240 marks. This will allow the candidates to have a higher chance of securing admissions into their preferred course and campus.

According to your marks, may be you wont get into your preferred course but these are possible chances that you might get another course and campus with this range of marks. The authorities will consider various factors while preparing the cutoff of MET 2025, such as the previous year's trends, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, the number of applicants, the total number of seats available, etc. The MET 2025 cutoff will vary as per the candidate's selected category, course and campus. MET 2025 seat allotment will be done as per the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability.

If you are selected for an interview at Manipal Institute of Communication after your Manipal Entrance Test (MET), you will be informed of the interview date and time through email, according to the institute's website. The Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) are part of the admission process, and the dates are communicated separately to the candidates. You will receive an email communication at every step of the admission process.

I hope you got your answer. All the best.

If you get 69 marks in  Manipal Entrance Test (MET) and a 96.8% in your board exams , you have a good chance for a seat in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (R&A.I.) at Manipal University .Admission depends on MET Rank & Cutoffs + Board Marks .You Check your MET rank when it released.

If you scored 34 marks out of 240 in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), your rank is likely to be quite low, generally beyond the top 12,000 candidates. This means admission to the premier campuses like Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Manipal or Bengaluru for popular branches such as Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence could be difficult because these campuses have high cutoffs.

However, you still have a chance at other Manipal University campuses like Jaipur or Sikkim, where the competition is less intense and cutoff ranks are higher. Participating actively in counseling rounds is important since seats in some branches may open up.

Consider keeping backup options ready by applying to other colleges where your MET score fits their admission criteria more comfortably.

hi,

With 93% in IPE and 122 marks in MET 2025 , you have a fair chance of getting admission at Manipal University, but the branch you'll get depends on cutoffs, which vary each year.

Based on previous trends:

  • Lower-demand branches like Mechanical, Civil, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering are more likely.

  • For top branches like CSE, IT, or ECE , your MET score may be slightly low unless cutoffs drop.

You can still try for waiting lists or spot rounds . Keep checking the official MET counselling portal for updates and cutoff trends.

Hi aspirant,

Choosing either ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) or ECM (Electronics and Computer Engineering) at Manipal University Bangalore can be a wise decision because both subjects have great growth potential and the university has a good reputation , particularly in engineering.

  1. ECE usually concentrates on core electronics, communication systems, and signal processing.
  2. ECM is a more interdisciplinary field that combines electronics with computer science ideas, including embedded systems and Iot.

Your pick should be based on your personal interests and career ambitions.

Consider which field best matches your interests and the types of roles you envisage for yourself in the future. Checking the most recent placement data for both departments at the Bangalore campus could potentially provide useful information.

All the best!

HEY THERE!!

If you are 85 percentile in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET), your yearly fee at Manipal University for B.Tech/B.E. (including Computer Science and allied branches) will fall in the general fee category, since scholarships are generally given to students with extremely high percentiles (typically 90th percentile and above).

Yearly Fee Structure for B.Tech at Manipal University (2025):

  1. Tuition Fee (per annum): INR 8,12,000 to INR 13,97,000 (branch-wise and year-wise variation).
  2. One-Time Fee (Caution Deposit): INR 10,000 (one-time at admission).
  3. Hostel Fee (if applicable): INR 51,000 to INR 4,31,500 annually, based on accommodation type.
  4. Total Estimated Annual Academic Fee: INR 8.1 lakh to INR 14 lakh (without hostel/mess).

Note:

  • You are unlikely to be eligible for significant tuition fee waivers or scholarships at 85 percentile since these are usually held for top MET scorers.
  • The precise fee will vary based on your selected branch and whether the category (General/Scholar/NRI) applies.

Overall:

With a score of 85 percentile in MET, pay the regular first-year tuition price of INR 8.1 lakh to INR 14 lakh per year for B.Tech at Manipal University, along with hostel and other expenses if you have them

Admission to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), or simply Manipal University, varies according to course and campus.

Manipal University's acceptance rate is moderate at around 60%, which makes it fairly accessible for most students.

Admission for most undergraduate programs, particularly engineering, is based on the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). A score of 190 or more out of 240 tends to be competitive for top courses such as Computer Science.

For BTech, MET scores are the criteria for admission. Very preferred branches such as CSE need more scores (about 190+).

For MBBS, NEET-UG is the criteria for admission and is very competitive.

Courses such as BBA, BCom, and BA generally admit based on marks in 10+2. A minimum of 50–60% aggregate is generally needed.

The Manipal campus is more competitive, particularly for engineering and medical courses. Manipal Jaipur is comparatively easier to join, usually on the basis of 10+2 marks.

In general, Manipal is moderately competitive, and admission varies based on your academic record and the course you're aiming for.
