To be very honest Btech degree is far better than BSc degree in every sense. No matter what but one extra year add more opportunities for you to cherish. If you will ask me I will suggest you to go for Btech degree from Thappar University.

The college also matters but I believe course structure matters more. If Manipal University offers  Btech in Biotechnology I will suggest you to go for it.

Else Thappar University is also really good to with your undergraduate studies.

BSc biotechnology in Manipal University is of three years UG course. Where as B tech biotechnology in university is of four years degree course. BSc biotechnology impart knowledge of theory of the subjects B tech biotechnology imparts the knowledge of theory plus practical field experiences. BSc biotechnology  include the knowledge of theory and BTech biotechnology implements this theoretical knowledge to practical. It is to be noted that the actual rank might be completely different as the rank is determined by various parameters such as highest score, least score, total number of candidates appeared etc. Based on the previous year cut off date you have chances of getting seat in EE, EI, Biotechnology, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical in MIT Manipal, in MU Jaipur you have chances of getting seat in Information technology and Computer Science and in SMIT Sikkim you may get seat in Computer Science. But the cut off in 2021 will be different as it changes every year depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and number of seats available etc.

To be very honest both of the subjects have almost same syllabus and it hardly make any difference which field you will choose . For better decision I will suggest you to go through the syllabus of both the subjects and the one you find interesting and have calibre for you should go with that.

Now coming to the college, Manipal University main Branch is far better as compared to the rest of the colleges in terms of everything.The University is among the best university of India.

With 96 marks ranks are calculated every year and it is different as per the various factors like highest marks scored,Hardness of the paper,no of students who gave the exam.However three colleges namely MIT Manipal,SMIT Sikkim,MU Jaipur intake students through rank in MET.In civil you can expect for a rank of16k and around in MIT and upto 40k and around in other two colleges.You have to be within 1000 to get CSE and IT in MIT and within 10,000 for other colleges.Mechanical and electrical can be fetched within 7k and around in MIT but within 24k and around in other two mentioned colleges.

Both university are the best for BSc biotechnology. according to the student review, Infrastructure, faculties, study, placements Amirta university is better than Manipal university. Its infrastructure is good, Faculty are well educated and well experienced, placement for Amirta University is good. For research purpose Amirta University is best.
